Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Have there been any games in recent memory where glitches like NPC are throwing themselves off of random buildings? I would laugh if this started to become a random trend for game devs to start doing this.
Not in recent memory to my knowledge, and not specifically off buildings. NPCs accidentally offing themselves due to pathfinding errors was a lot more common back in the day, especially in games similar to CP77. Probably the most famous example of this would be the suicidal photographers from GTA San Andreas.

Glitches and errors like this have long since been ironed out of most games, so CP77 possibly having them would be just another example of how bugged out the game is if it didn't appear that the suicidal NPCs in question weren't actually just part of a random event that was programmed to happen.

On the topic of suicidal NPCs, I started as a Nomad and had one of the residents in the trailer park spawn inside my car after I was done climbing the tower.

Instant wanted level and people shooting at me. I had to lure the entire town into the desert and run them over with my car as my gun was not available yet.

That's hilarious. Could you loot them despite the game technically not having started yet?

Okay, so, this is really strange.

There seems to be a glitch, or random event where NPCs will just throw themselves off buildings and kill themselves. Has anyone else experienced this?
I assumed dude saw his stock options go to shit and took the fast way to ground level.

The fact it might be a glitch never dawned on me, since he hit and died.

"MUH PORT FOILEEOH!"

The lady walking by reading her tablet and not reacting
Just amazing AI.
You jump up and down more than once on a sidewalk and a crowd a block down will be cowering in abject fear but a twin tower peter pan splat doesn't even cause a meh reaction.

I've met that... cop yesterday:

Also I did a side mission, picked up the thing, came back to my car only to find a NPC where the engine should be.

If you look close enough you'll also notice that the NPC standing there is actually two NPCs standing inside of each other.

Sadly, No.

I was hoping to loot some rifles and ammo so I could take on the border patrol.

Is there a skill to pick up ammo automatically in this game or do they expect the player to look for a tiny box in a big room full of random objects?

So I found smart pistol that scales with your levels and has an AI in it with smarmy one liners. But sometimes if you zoom in it will randomly fire and alert enemies if you're trying to do shit. Or just fire off for no reason. SO WACKY. I then just dropped it in some random alley and forgot it existed.
It's first-person GTA with cyberware and Borderlands loot, basically. Which is enough for me to play it and have a good time, but it's nowhere near all the lofty promises they were making back a year or so ago.
It is nowhere near what was promised. It is actually rather fucking pathetic.

It looks like because he made the ground pedestrians panic by running or jumping, the AI basically 'flows' so if you're panicking a bunch of them then you can heard them like fucking sheep. I can't tell you how many times when I was just double jumping around I could just herd the AI in directions I wanted them to go.

No, quality of life things like 'picking up items without having to hit tab every 30 seconds' don't exist.

lol I can't believe that this is the same game that people hyped up for years...

I had a similar bug at the beginning of the game when I left the appartment. I hit the button to activate the elevator but instead it pulled my pistol and started firing full-auto in the lobby. Then a bunch of cops spawned behind my back (that was facing a wall).

If this game were a bit more polished or fleshed out then it could be explained as some Corpo who is doing a concrete swan dive because the whole corporate world is just too much stress to handle.

But considering how things have turned out, it's probably just a (hilarious) bug.

Officer Hotpants is the best beat cop this city has ever seen. Some say his hips never stop swingin' -- not even while taking down cyberpsychos.
