Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

The source code that was stolen was for Gwent and TW3 though. Why would that delay a Cyberpunk patch?

It's possible their systems were encrypted as part of the ransomware attack, locking them out of everything. That they didn't have backups that weren't on those systems seems ludicrous... but this is CDPR, so it's entirely possible they're that incompetent.

No backups when it comes to employee workstations, most likely.

Plus, them being locked down also means they can't remote in anyways, outside of removing the ransomware or just plain wiping whole sets of PCs. Do the latter, and you will end up with seriously pissed people.

Corporate usage of computers in the industry is really closer to home PC usage, with more professional software involved. So there's lots of personal data (which frankly shouldn't be there) that the users are attached to.

They're not failing, they're honestly living up to their expectations.

Its not, they're just ramping up the excuses as to why they're not patching the game when multiplayer that no one wanted or asked for eventually comes out (which will be filled with hackers, bugs and exploits).

cp2077 multiplayer seems like the worst tought idea beyond we want more money. they couldnt even release the single player what the fuck?
R* are masters of their craft and you can like or dislike their games but they know what the fuck they are doing

My guess is end of summer. Its becoming clear they're incapable of fixing this game and if they were smart they'd drop support, apologize, and announce The Witcher 4.

They're not smart though so they'll continue to fuck up.
If they do that, then every post-CP2077 game will have a big asterisk above it.

They can't do it, not the way Bioware/EA did- I'd think that they've really intent on abandoning the SP game, they'll just keep a SP skeleton crew for at least a year or so for small regular updates just to string players along and avoid the permanent stain of "too flawed to fix".

They were going to put microtransactions in it as well. Since the faggot who directed the game wanted it to be Cyberpunk GTA, they might try to make it like GTA online.

Some people though have found game modes like 'heist' and shit that just sounds like multiplayer matches so who knows.

Bold of them to make a heist mode with non functional police AI.

oh boy, it took Rockstar almost a year and a half before they were even able to implement heists into GTA Online.

imagine how long it will take these poles to implement their heists.

Nah they all got shitcanned after W3.

But seriously, when the most detailed, feature complete part of your open world game is the penis selector, you know exactly what demographic is running the asylum.
Oh lol nvm then fuck everyone involved with the development.

Except Jane Perry because her voice for Diana Burnwood is fucking iconic.

They'll just have the police constantly spawn in behind you over and over and over again. They don't need AI or realism! They can say the police have teleportation technology!
It's hilarious that even microtransactions were cut from the game.
TBF, the microtransactions are going to be in the multiplayer.

They're already hiring:

They want it to be GTA Online. Of that, I have no doubt. But you're a fucking retard if you think they can do this at all competently. Their base game is an absolute fucking mess, a buggy, un-optimized piece of shit full of mediocre gameplay and mechanics.

How in the ever living fuck do they think they'll be able to pull off decent multiplayer without a good base is beyond me. GTA V and RDR 2 all had very very strong bases to build from. And even THEN Rockstar took a long time to build up multiplayer.

Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't have a base to build on. Imagine trying to use the base game to make a GTA Online. And the hackers, oh my God. Even Rockstar can't deal with them and these polaks feel like they will. Mark my words, that shit will be hacker heaven and CD Projekt will not know what the fuck to do.
Oh I thought it was poor polish ppl
They all quit and took their checks when that faggot Badowski or whatever the dumbfuck polak's name is thought they could be Rockstar. He should have never been put in charge, but I imagine he forced his way in. By contrast, the Witcher 3 had multiple directors. So like a writing room, you've got people going "No, that's stupid, don't put that in the game." You can also split up management duties that way and see if the middle management is functioning properly or acting like cunts.

So with Cyberpunk, it was all him. He clearly did not want it to be an RPG and wanted to turn it the studio into Rockstar, which is why they super-hyped the game.

They started stripping RPG elements, changing the direction to Keanu (who was originally supposed to be a Ghost in the Machine sort of character, basically a cameo. Basically a wink wink at the player. The character, Johnny Silverhand) and changed the perspective from 3rd to 1st only. Then you had the Witcher 3 devs quite en masse until there was a total lack of manpower.

Which is when they started hiring Westerners based on their rep, paying them shit and working them to death in the gulag while Irwininski got fucking blasted, shitting himself until he had to give interviews, in which he looked terrified about having to talk about the game. I don't know, maybe there was some domestic violence with Badowski beating him until he gave him control over the game.

"It's all part of the immersive experience! Hackers exist in Cyberpunk, so it stands to reason that they'll exist with such prevalence in this game mode! It's totally intentional and completel-wait where are you all going? No wait please come back..."
