I imagine finding people is the most time consuming part of this process. I doubt writing the script took long because it's surface level baby speak. I doubt shooting will take long because he shoots in his neighborhood and has nothing interesting or complex to shoot. Maybe editing will take a while but I guess that would depend on how long the shooting takes.

I saw an interview with the kid who played Butch the Bully and that's the only reason I believe this movie has anything remotely close to a casting process, haha. Just made me think about how much work goes into these films and they still look awful

Derek seems pretty enthusiastic in this video, which is good imo. The happier he is the more content we get. I'm personally very exited to hear all the new songs he wrote, seems like a gold mine of exceptional content. The musical exploits of lolcows are my favorites.
 
So.... I mean this did make me laugh make no mistake. I just am really fucking puzzled at him doing open auditions for roles and also his speaking is more frantic than usual. I might even audition myself, fuck it.
