Daily wire entertainment

I agree. I wouldn't be shocked of their certain people in Hollywood. Who missed just making movies for the hell of it and not pandering to the Woke crowd. You can already see certain actors looking like they want to jump ship already. Could you imagine Daily Wire taking some A list stars from Hollywood that would be insane.

I agree Shapiro lost a lot of respect from me recently. But I want to see him and his company succeed here.
I would much rather see them with relatively unknown actors or “cancelled” actors. Chris Pratt is still somehow safe in the realm of Hollywood probably because of his association with Marvel and that he is a box office draw. This thing that apparently will continue to grow over the years/decades needs to be gatekeeped to prevent a repeat of what happened to Hollywood itself over the decades.

People are claiming this will fail harder than CNN+, but the thing is that CNN made the silly mistake of investing so much money in a service and expecting returns to happen immediately. DW seems to be taking the safer route here.

Just an update on the status of DW Entertainment, for those interested.
  • DW Kids
    • The Daily Wire/DailyWire+ now has over a million paid subscriptions, and their next milestone is 10 million.
    • Chip Chilla is in production with a release window in 2023, and the voice actors have been casted, including Rob Schneider as the papa chinchilla, Chum Chum Chilla.
    • Doodles with Noodles/The Zoodles Show, the puppet show from before, and a new animated show, A Wonderful Day with Mabel MaClay, about a girl who lives in a life of imagination without the influence of the internet, phones or electronics, is slated for release in 2023.
  • DW Entertainment General
    • The Daily Wire has the rights to Stephen R. Lawhead's historical fantasy series The Pendragon Cycle and will release a streaming series based on it in 2023.
    • They also have optioned the rights to Atlas Shrugged and are making a TV streaming series based on it.
    • More Jordan Peterson schlock will be on DailyWire+.

I'm lowkey excited to see what they are doing. They do need someone to be the "face" of their entertainment side because having Jeremy or Ben as the face will eventually get weird. I'd vote for Brett (we know it's you Ben, you AGP degen).

I am generally carious to see who they get to star in their upcoming series.
What made the Gina Carano movie a big deal somewhat on the internet was because they had picked up Gina just after she had gotten fired.

We know they have Rob Schneider for their cartoon. Mel Gibson said he would be interested in working with Dallas again (He was interviewed by them when Father Stu was coming out). But said it's hard to tell since he still has to get the Passion of Christ sequel going.

But I'm carious since I feel what would get a lot of viewers and excitement for their upcoming shows. If they got a actor or actress that people were somewhat familiar with.
Let's see if any actors get cancelled anytime soon.
Besides Gibson and Schneider. They could get Dennis Quaid or Vince Vaughn who are both right leaning.
I know they have a second movie in the works with Gina. But I feel people will want to see a different face eventually.

Update.

Daily Wire Co-CEO Jeremy Boreing To Take Leave Of Absence To Direct Fantasy Series ‘The Pendragon Cycle’, Filming Due To Begin In September

By Andreas Wiseman

EXCLUSIVE: The Daily Wire’s streaming service DailyWire+ is lining up a September start in Europe for what it is calling its biggest-budget production to date, a fantasy series inspired by Arthurian legend.

Daily Wire Co-CEO Jeremy Boreing will take a temporary leave of absence from the right wing media organization to direct the seven-episode series, which has long been a passion project of his.

Boreing will co-direct with Ryan Whitaker (Surprised By Oxford). The “multinational” cast is being finalized with filming due to take place in Italy and Hungary.

The Daily Wire confirmed to us that it won’t be needing an interim agreement from SAG.

The drama will be inspired by the first two books of the series written by Stephen R. Lawhead. The Pendragon Cycle is a retelling of the Arthurian legend, set not in the high Medieval age of knights in shining armor, but in the wake of a Roman-occupied Britain, where the seeds of Christianity are beginning to take root. As barbarian invaders threaten to lay claim to the island, those with faith prevail.

Boreing, The Daily Wire’s Co-CEO Caleb Robinson, and Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro are executive-producing. Dallas Sonnier and Danielle Cox of Bonfire Legend, Daniel Kresmery of Hero Squared, and Whitaker also executive-produce. Travis Mills, Ari Novak, and Amanda Presmyk are producing, alongside Jonathan Halperyn of Hero Squared, Augusto Pellicca of Augustus Color, and Jules Nasso.

“I have dreamt of bringing Stephen R. Lawhead’s books to the screen for twenty-five years,” said Boreing. “Based on perhaps the most impactful myth in Western tradition, the Legend of King Arthur, this series helped shape my worldview since reading it as a teenager. Yet it is bittersweet, as to bring this project to screen means to leave the country and temporarily step down from my role as co-CEO of The Daily Wire.”

The series is due to stream exclusively on DailyWire+ in 2024. Due to hit the platform this year is Convicting a Murderer, a 10-episode series presented by firebrand host Candace Owens that is a response to the hit 2015 series Making A Murderer. The company is also aiming to launch a kids’ entertainment offering later this year.

Caleb Robinson will assume the role of CEO at Daily Wire until Boreing returns and resumes his position as co-CEO.

What I want to see is a return to sketch comedy. Sketch comedy has cheap sets, had up-and-coming actors in the 80s and 90s, and no continuity to get tangled. Just a premises and jokes for writers to explore. As we see on this site, tranny jokes are consistently funny, edgy, and can slowly turn the culture against them. Daily Wire can make ten of these for the cost of one of their prestige dramas with fast turnaround.

They had a comedy show with Adam Carrola and T.J. Miller, but I'm not sure if they kept it around. Even if it was a sketch show similar to In Living Color, Mad TV or even House of Buggin' then it'd be okay if jokes could be made where everything can be made fun of. The Gina Carano movie wasn't bad. I like westerns but Gina isn't the greatest actress. The one flick with the recovering junkie mom and Vince Gallo was great. I did not watch the kid-friendly superhero flick, but I would love DW to do horror flicks. They work with Dallas Sonnier who used to own Fangoria before it got shut down thanks to a sex scandal with Cinestate. I'd love to see the sequel to the Puppet Master reboot take place or just fun, gory horror flicks.

I didn't have much hope for this, but after watching the first 5 episodes I would recommend it to anyone who watched the original series and is able to obtain access to DW's paid content somehow.

It's kind of unfortunate that the first two episodes they released for free focused on Avery's previous criminal record, which Making a Murderer glossed over, so it feels like this would be nothing but an attack on him as a person. They do however get to the crime itself, have some of the cops' side of the story - which might not change anyone's mind, but it does give an interesting perspective - and I have found it quite informative overall.

I remain a fan of MaM, but this series is a decent critique of it and someone did an actual research to fill in whatever was left out.
While they take the "Avery guilty" position, I don't think they're going to do same with Brendan. He's repeatedly called the most tragic character of the story and I watched an interview with the director and he basically said he didn't know where he stands on Brendan's guilt or innocence. But there's still half of the series to come out so we'll see.

Set pictures from The Pendragon Cycle.

That's something I'd actually watch, there's a lot of funny conservative comedians they could work with.

They make gaming videos here and there which seem popular (if you look at Andrew Klavens channel those seem to have particularly high view counts), they could tap into that too.

The movie tells the story of one down-on-his-luck former high school basketball coach, Rob, who will do anything to win — which in this case means teaching his team of men radical modern gender theory and leading them to identify as women in order to brutally dominate multiple women’s sports.
The trailer reveals a who’s who of conservative personalities — including Daily Wire stars Ben Shapiro, Brett Cooper, Michael Knowles, and Andrew Klavan, plus college women’s swim champ Riley Gaines, Senator Ted Cruz, Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon, with even more to be revealed in the film.
While the acting looks atrocious I bet the media is going to go apeshit over this.

Y'know, I may not care for Shapiro, but it takes balls to genuinely sit down and make a movie this intentionally inflammatory. I look forward to what a glorious dumpster fire its release is going to be. :story:
