Turkey is kind of weird because the only person there interested in Islamic revivalism appears to be its prime minister. And even then it has a lot more to do with an outdated nostalgia for the halcyon days of a united Middle Eastern superpower than any willingness to stone women to death. If he *really* had a set he'd try playing this game in certain areas of Pakistan.

The only logical explanation is that he planned on going there to dunk on the locals for being icky brown ragheads. It's a good choice of location, too, since Istanbul is far from the fundamentalist places where blasphemy is liable to elicit swift vigilante justice (you should read about mob killings in Pakistan). A Middle Eastern Johnny Somali arc would have been fun, but alas.

They are taking their time to make an iron case against him. Besides there are evidently concerns over not glamorizing Chud as some sort of vigilante hero they need to keep down for the time being.

I’ll also note that, at least in days gone by, the Courthouse was the center of local Southern political culture. Chud popping a guy in front of it as a climax of his race hatred for money was just about as close to a personal insult it could get for the people old enough to remember that time outside of shooting him dead on the doorstep and gooning to it. Chud should have known wrathful passion was a two way street.

I am not ashamed to say that I cried while praying for Chud today. The news today is another bleak reminder of the world's cruelty. If it can happen to Chud, it could happen to any of us too. I tried calling the Clarksville courthouse twice after reading the latest story from the AP and was sent to voicemail both times. Has the President spoke about this yet? At this point I fear Chud's only respite can come via political intervention. I only hope tomorrow brings good news.

It’s starting to piss me off that they aren’t releasing the footage lol, I’ve heard he reached for a weapon initially but I’m also hearing he walked away from the altercation and was put in a headlock. which is it? There’s no point in coming to any conclusions until the footage is released. I’m not 100% trusting any eyewitness account just because there’s more incentive to bend the truth against Chud.
 
I didn't read every single Turkey post so I may have missed it but why couldn't he go to Turkey and buy a ticket to continue from there. Probably a little smarter than telling Expedia or AAA or Kayak exactly where you intend to go. I'm not saying that's what he was doing but if that's what he planned it would at least be semi intelligent.
