Like repeating "I'm a good person" and "I am greatness" over and over (at least, I think that's a new one.)
Definitely, and it's particularly distressing as Dan describes these sociopathic urges in relation to a bad accosting encounter and, more generally, with women who either don't react to or recoil from him -- it really reminds me of Elliot Rodger. And then Dan tries to reassure the viewers (probably himself, in all honesty) that his forebrain regulates these urges...but only to soon wonder how he'd behave if there was no one else around and no laws. Dan is basically using the law as his deterrent against rape and god knows what else, as opposed to, you know, actual empathy. But even that justification isn't promising given his status as a sex offender.
