This video was annoying to watch and lasted too long, even though it was only 8 minutes long. Let me save you 8 minutes:
Summary: Blizzcon had a Darkmoon fair themed area, where you could buy gacha tokens in one line, then line up at another line to play gacha machines to win pins and plushies. If you won a big prize like a plushie, you had to wait in a different line to redeem it because those are too big to fit in a gacha ball. But some people bought too many gacha tokens, and held up the line until it became 5 hours long. This caused all the other lines to get too long as well. Because live events and panels were watchable from screens around the venue, attendees didn't feel a need to go to live events, and were okay joining an already long line, causing a cycle of FOMO. The line was so long that when day 2 of the event came around, people rushed to recreate the line so that they could be first. Eventually the fire marshall said there were too many people in line, so they had to impose a limit on gacha token purchases and restricted entry into the darkmoon fair area.
Dan olson appears in the video with a face mask.
