A lot of breadtuber types (like Olson) started off as Pen & Teller wannabes who focused on mocking the easiest targets they could find, like flat earthers or people who disasters were caused by orbital lasers. Then Gamergate happened, and they all started thinking they were smart enough to start tackling real, serious political issues.

By and large, they weren't.

The only thing I know about this guy is that Cinematic Venom documentary about Channel Awesome and #ChangeTheChannel (and eventually #ChangeChangeTheChannel) is how he randomly and quickly brought this up guy and defended the child porn thing
Which in the way how Venom described it, I agreed with him, I'm not entirely sure why people were trying to attack him for trying to report 8chan's CP problem. Sure, he probably shouldn't have screenshotted it, but the proof is proof.

Shame it seems it was actually worse than it actual was

The reason people bash Dan Olson for this incident is because
  1. He worked with Laurelai Bailey to Frame 8Chan for having CP
  2. He could've sent a link to Authorities to do something about it instead of Downloading CP, Making an article and giving the criminals time to get rid of the evidence before Authorities could do anything about it
  3. He knew the truth about Jewwario's actions and covered it up so Gamergate wouldn't be able to use it against Chez Apocalypse
  4. He covered up the actions of self-admitted pedophile Sarah Nyberg to protect the side of people fighting against Gamergate
 
Also the stuff he was talking about wasnt counted as CP in the Us where it was hosted but was in Canada where he lives so in trying to report something as a crime that wasnt he committed that crime himself.

Dan Olson got 800 patrons so he's going to watch Nostalgia Critic's The Wall video. At this point, hasn't the video been beaten to death? We know why it's bad because so many people made videos talking about it so why do we need Dan Olson's point of view on the video? The only part where he talks about Doug is "Doug used my video without permission, I should've been consulted." So why does he still care Doug 5 years after he left Channel Awesome, 3 years after the document? I just find it weird how much they still care about a former boss that they need to bash him a lot or find joy in others bashing him. #ChangeTheChannel just seem like a bunch of bitter miserable cunts who can't quit thinking about Channel Awesome until it's finally in the ground and everyone in CA management is broke. Even then, it will be like when Biden won the election and the people who hated Trump were still miserable even though Trump lost and they were obsessed for years with getting him kicked out of the white house.

All of Lindsey's clique were bitter about CA. From the begining it was supposed to be a platform from which they could launch their long deserved careers in Hollywood. That didn't happen and that's somehow Doug's fault.
