I liked the first two games but the spinoff kinda sucked, and the 3rd one just didn't click with me (it's still good).

If they do a 4th one I hope it's fresh and ditches the filler gameplay (like running around, doing mini games, etc).
Rather sure they are done with Danganronpa, but they do have a similar game supposedly coming out thats being called a spiritual successor called "Rain Code"

I hate they have to warn people about ALL suicide now :c
As if the mention of death wasn't "triggering" enough? These trigger warnings being fucking everywhere honestly makes me think we should remove them entirely. Constantly shielding people from uncomfortable topics is what got them into having such thin skin in the first place.

I decided to start playing the first game since it was on gamepass so why not. Haven't run into any notable bugs so far, unless the resolution going all over the place between gameplay and cutscenes is a bug. So far have been enjoying it, not normally a fan of VNs (if that's what this is?) but the premise is interesting enough to keep me entertained so far. Just finished up the Genocide Jack chapter. I remember reading on /v/ forever ago that the sequels suck, is that true or just /v/ being fags like usual?

2 is great. V3 was also a decent ride all the way through but the ending broke the fanbase. YMMV.

Well I just finished 1 and I really liked almost everything about it so I figure I might as well play 2&3 at the very least. Is there anything wrong with the Decadence version for switch? I would hope these will be like the Yakuza games and a new one will come out every month or so on gamepass but they probably would have announced that if it were the case so I might just get Decadence.

Edit: Apparently they don't even sell Decadence digitally anymore and physical copies are like 80 bucks so nevermind. Does the switch version of 3 at least run well?

I had a great time playing v3 on the switch. I noticed one bug in the final trial, but it was pretty insignificant and didn't hinder play at all. I played all the switch ports, and funnily enough the only one with significant issues was Danganronpa S which was literally made for the switch. I don't really recommend Danganronpa S anyways. Even from a gacha game standpoint it isn't that great. Its only redeeming quality is the character interaction scenes, which is the only reason I bought it in the first place. Generally, I play it for that reason. I really enjoy it. Trying to collect the characters is fun as well. From an exclusively gameplay standpoint it's pretty much useless since it's exactly the same as V3's post game anyways.

tbh i'm not sure why more people don't talk about how the "ending" didn't make sense..? There's a lot of plotholes and I think Shuichi's explanation for what he thought happened makes more sense. it's up to interpretation though

Been playing through the first game for the first time, good so far. Up to case 4 and enjoying my playthrough so far.

Legitmate question though, just something I want some clarification of (not related to the first game), I’m well aware its a spin-off but. Is Ultra Despair Girls canon? Curious is all. If it is I’ll probably play that before I start 2.

You should play UDG after 2.

From what I've seen, the fandom can either be incredibly welcoming, or disgustingly hateful. There's no in-between.

(I can't believe this is what I'm putting my first comment on but here I am anyways. :J )
