True assuming he can behave himself with the other inmates. I really want to know more about how he gets with the inmates since his behavior would get his face stomp but he seems like amusement for the inmates that play with his delusions.

Daniel will never part from the spotlight now that he has a taste for it. He will spend the rest of his life chasing it like a kid with no supervision. Plus he can make money by doing jack shit/ indulging his fantasies.

He can't go back to being joe shmo after being a worldwide sensation. The realisation that he's a homeless nobody is far less palatable than the reality of being an inconvinienced singer-songwriter one stream away from making it big.

He’s in the best place he could be, it would be better if he was permanently committed to an institution and never allowed to access the internet and have his phone calls vetted.

Because he has demonstrated that he really cannot take care of himself and is severely delusional, what would need to happen in order to put him in a place like a group home or something like a mental hospital after his release?

We have so many of these cases of people who are indeed mentally unwell and need to be institutionalized, and prison is just a dumping ground for them and they often come out just as delusional as when they went in. Why is it now so hard to commit these people to a mental health facility when they clearly need it and it seems better long-term for both them and everybody else than just have them being in and out of jail/prison.

not gonna lie if he does get out of prison i'd look forward to his funny and goofy public freakouts, no other lolcow did this other than him and sometimes chris chan would but that's like once every decade while Daniel had something like at least every month.

I very strongly believe when Chris was younger and not constantly online, like during the Crazy Pacer/Atrraction Sign era he had Larson-esque public freakouts more often. They’d happen at places like the fashion square mall, PVCC, the Walmart, the McDonalds in the Walmart, and the Game Place. You can get a taste of what it was like by reading the Sonichu sub-episodes (which are about Chris fighting Jerkops and Manajerks and are 10000x funnier than the rest of Sonichu).

It’s just that back then there was no TikTok, and camera phones were very poor quality. So we just have a vague idea of what it was like.

Also if Chris has a homeless arc, it’ll probably be like Daniel. But Chris has the tugboat so it’s unlikely.

The only person I know who has encountered Chris in the wild (and it was before he was discovered by the internet) swears that Chris has an undiagnosed psychotic disorder and tries to explain all of it as autism because autism is less stigmatized. Shit like The Merge definitely lends some validity to this.

Now that I think about it. I always wondered why Daniel didn't try to get a tugboat like Chris did. Considering that the former has a medical diagnosis of autism (iirc).

Also, FYI: Its widely speculated by some Christorians that Chris has Maladaptive Daydreaming (MD). A mental disorder characterized by intense fantasizing and a strong disconnect to reality. The reason Christorians believe this is that the stupid stuff Chris says (The Merge, Cwcville, and his imaginary friends) falls in line with MD. Though without a proper clinical diagnosis, its remains unproven.

Danderson has a tugboat. It’s just not big enough. His grandma or some adoptive mother left him a trust fund. He gets $200 a month. If he had gotten a lump sum that would’ve made him a lot less funny because he would’ve blown it on something stupid like scams, gambling, prostitutes, an apartment beyond his means, etc. Then the money would be gone and he wouldn’t be able to pay his phone bill, which would mean no more wacky videos. When he did have a phone he’d be forced to beg 100% of the time instead of just like 30% of the time. It’d be like Chris during the financhu crisis.

He's there in preparation for his competency hearing that's supposed to happen sometime next year. A forensic psychologist will examine him to determine whether he's sane enough to act in his own best interests during court proceedings.

IMO, he's obviously a deranged shizo but he's shown time and time again that he only entertains the delusions he wants to. Danny boy might stand trial yet.
