It's somewhat true of most cows that they exist in this semi-aware state in a Truman Show-esque nightmare. I wouldn't wish Daniel's life on my worst enemy but there's not much anyone can really do to help him.
I'd like to add that there's been a substantial amount that people have spent to help him. He used to have a
caretaker, but instead, he ran away voluntarily and
became homeless.
Then, he was given a
second opportunity for housing, and he constantly got into fights with his housemates and caretakers, and punched at least 6 holes in the wall and broke 1 window, for extremely minor reasons, or no reason at all, all within a span of 2 days. He was thrown out of that house and has been
homeless ever since. The state has provided generous amounts of support that he has rejected, and he feels entitled to money and attention from "his fans".
While he is obviously mentally ill, he is actively seeking out homelessness and attention from weens. This would be an extremely sad situation and not worthy of Kiwifarms had Daniel not voluntarily made himself homeless. Unlike most homeless people, he does not have an substance abuse problem causing a physical dependency where narcotics are preventing him from obtaining housing, nor does he lack any type of funding or state support. He is just destroying property in state housing during his temper tantrums, and getting kicked out.
There's a lot of schadenfreude in what's happening to Daniel, and there's no need to feel bad because if Daniel sought help, he could and has easily gotten it, and the effort on his part is minimal.
IF a study came out tomorrow and showed that a social media addiction changes you brain structure in the same way as a heroin addiction, I would take back everything I say. However, I suspect that social media is not nearly as addictive as narcotics or alcohol.
