From what @AnOminous said, after his reevaluation which I think was last month, they would reevaluate if he could be brought to the level of competency needed to stand trial, and if not, then to basically dismiss the charges but keep him a permanent resident in a mental-care facility, basically writing him off to be irreversibly nuts and in need of "management" for the rest of his life.

That was more of a guess than an actual rule. I do think he will at some point be found to be "competent" to stand trial and then get a deal. I really think it should involve this poor dude getting some help. But we're living in reality so he's probably just going to get fucked.

The saddest part is he will probably be back let out homeless. And then people will find out and start to fuck with him again. As funny as it seems to watch this guy dine and dash 50 times, it's equally as sad to realize there's no real support network for people like Daniel, he has Bob yes but Bob is an old man and shouldn't have to deal with him. It needs to be up to the state to deal with him. He can't just go on being terrorized by losers who think it's funny. The real tragic part of all of this he still think Grace is his Girlfriend. I have a good feeling that he will be released in 3-4 years over a legal complication. Daniel never actually had weapons to perform his threats and his insane ramblings are troll related. It's theoretically possible for Danny to pull a hail mary to get out on some technicality, but the problem will still remain of what to do with him, he's been on their radar too long for them to not set him with some form of custodial supervised release. If they didn't have to send an FBI agent 3 separate times to plead with Daniel to stop, if they didn't already assign the state as power of attorney for Danny, where the district attorney (DA) is his 'guardian', I'd maybe agree.

But he fucked himself hard, hes currently in legal purgatory not just because he's crazy but because he's willfully crazy, and is pretty adamant about not taking his meds to try and fix that.

I'm pretty sure the "forensic report" mentioned in 47 and 51 is the psychological evaluation he'd been ordered to get. The process was supposed to last until around the end of April, so the timing would check out. If so, we'll probably have a decision on Mr. President's fate soon.

To be fair, the conditions of sanitariums and how the residents were treated was often horrible, but that was decades ago, and I am sure that there is a world of difference between modern mental institutions and how they were in the early to mid-20th century.

Other than dumping them out on the street, the current day practice is to shove them in prison, which makes their mental health worse than when they went in due to prison conditions, making them even more dysfunctional when they get out, only for the cycle to repeat when they get arrested again.

The sad fact is that some people need to be locked up for awhile for their own good, not necessarily as a punishment but because they are too broke-brained to function in society. Daniel Larson is one of those people, and medication can only do so much.

Guessing it's just gonna be a slap on the wrist with time served in this scenario he's gonna be out by July and have a new TikTok or whatever the day after he gets out unless the judge forbids him from using the internet or puts other things in place.

yeah, if he is out on the street on his own without a cop watching him 24/7 he will buy a cellphone and start streaming again no matter what a court order says. Remember you can now get a cellphone that will stream video for $20 and there are prepaid plans with data for $35, Daniel blows more than that on a single meal so if he gets out of jail he will be back on TikTok within a day no matter what the court says.

Not a chance. Most of the police know Daniel already with the many interactions they have had before he really is the town idiot. I believe it was the Walmart incident where one officer even said he followed him on YouTube. I just cant see someone risking their full time job to insult Daniel especially knowing he records basically everything and the police wear body cams (assuming they're always recording).

Cops never gave a fuck since I can even remember. North Cali 2018 cops never gave a fuck about anything unless you were well off. Albuquerque police only wanted you out of tourist traps if homeless. And Arizona as a whole made you die from sun exposure since a fent addict to cop respond time was about an hour.

From my experience with dealing with police on petty crimes Larson will always be fine since he tends to hangout in the cities...That's a different story entirely however if he ever tried to do his shit in a small town...County Deputies are probably the only time I had to sweat with my paperwork.
