Today, people in Monero/crypto adjacent communities make the mistake of talking about GrapheneOS. Predictably, it ends with very serious accusations made against Calyx and its employees.
It starts with an innocent question about preinstalled mobiles with GrapheneOS and CalyxOS.

Someone recommends a guy named MikeCustomTech:

But Daniel Micay calls him an "internet troll":

And "anything but trustworthy":

Guess why he says this. If you say it's because he criticized Daniel's behavior in the past, you're a winner and get no points.

Seriously, Mike tweeted this over a
year ago. Daniel either must have the memory of an elephant, or he keeps a list of fucking
everyone who has ever dared criticize him. He has to, with how many grudges he holds.
Back to the present day, Mike himself says it well:

Another sane person joins and correctly points out this gay drama is retarded and turns people away from GrapheneOS.

But Daniel doesn't care. In fact, he keeps going, and makes several allegations against Calyx, including one that to my knowledge is new.
The lead developer of CalyxOS (Chirayu Desai) and the president of Calyx (Nick Merrill) are "involved in harassment targeting our team members":
source (
a)
In fact, CalyxOS is "an OS which quite literally exists because of the attacks on our project", because Chirayu was allegedly an employee at Copperhead!
source (

This is a
brand new allegation as far as I'm aware. And like all other allegations, is any evidence provided? Nope.
As if it makes his claims more true, Daniel just repeats shit about them spreading "misinformation" and being involved in "extreme harassment".

By the way, this is false. I checked the tweets of @nickcalyx, @calyxinstitute, and @CalyxOS and not a single one has mentioned GrapheneOS yesterday. Nick's personal Twitter is just full of Israel-Palestine stuff and the Calyx accounts don't tweet much.
So either he is completely making this shit up, or he believes that some random user on the Internet who talked about GrapheneOS' sandboxed Google Play compatibility layer is actually a sock of Nick Merrill or Chirayu Desai (which is just advanced making shit up). I couldn't even find a specific tweet from yesterday about sandboxed Google Play that wasn't from Graphene.
