19% darker...Dearie me. Really?? Moi?
mainly very high (97%) Machiavellianism (no surprise there) and high sadism (surprising) , and moral disengagement (not sure). Low narcissism and entitlement, which I’d agree with
Lots of the questions are very ambiguous though.
‘I avoid direct conflict with people who may be useful to me in the future.’
Well frankly if you’re actively seeking conflict with people who have serious power over you, you’re an idiot. You may be a very moral idiot, but saints and martyrs tend to meet sticky ends.
All the ones about lying - lying is a complex area, which can be used to save people’s feelings as much as further yourself.
all the ones about hurting others- surely there’s a big difference between the majority of people who would happily see a colleague who is toxic leave or be fired and those who actually go postal...? Intent and action are different things.
what’s missing here is a distinction between intent and action - in effect, the degree of self control someone has. You can have all the megalomaniac fantasies in the world, as long as you’re acting decently. Similarly I think there is a moral difference between returning a duplicated item to a small business/pointing out a cashier error in a small business and keeping the duplicate amazon or some corporate giant sent you. But I still wouldn’t shoplift. The action is different to the feeling underneath.
