I suppose I'm surprised how high the average is, how much self-interest and narcissism the average person has. So far the results seem pretty standard, there are certain to be outliers. It just makes me wonder how other peoples minds work. Is that why people like to talk about themselves so much? Why do they think they are better? What do they want?

Skimming through this thread and I couldn’t help noticing that besides a few outliers most of us have lower than average Self Interest.
Not sure if it means we are all super cool altruists who just want to world to be nice and happy, or if we all simply gave up on ourselves years ago.

I can usually get what I want without resorting to "unprincipled" methods. That, and my pride frequently doesn't let me sublimate principle to quick gain.
