I think Mike is trying to mislead this thread by making references to the Boogie film
as setting some kind of expectations on how the Phil one will go.
Mike seems to be a for-hire vanity documentarian who reaches out to public figures and offers them exposure and brand guidance. When he reached out to Boogie he produced a documentary that seems almost exactly like what Boogie would want released. It's "negative" in that it shows what a retard Boogie is financially and that he is a big gross fat person but this is exactly how Boogie likes to be portrayed - just pitiful enough to suck in paypigs and groomable young women, just repulsive enough to draw in the hate watchers, and a light sprinkling of disgusting exhibitionism layered over it all.
Phil is not going to be shown in a light similar to Boogie. He is going to be shown in a light that he wants, which is going to be a "tough but fair" facade which only hits on the controversies DSP sanctions and makes sure to cram in a lot of pahsitivity to ensure "a balanced view".
We're gonna get a high-production version of the "a million years ago I worked for a helicopter company" prestream which will cover all the same shit Phil likes to ramble about, some anemic "controversy" focusing mostly on The Incident and Hello Jew and The Escort and some surface-level takes from detractors which are juxtaposed against poow widdle Phiw just trying to stweam with his mo-wife while meanies post mean things in the chayut. We won't get tax info, we won't get a (real) WWEC account reveal. Tax info could hurt the business and Phil can't talk about certain things because of certain legal matters. Scopely is going to speak in general terms about the game and won't disclose any information. If an account is shown it will be one Phil bought specially for this, probably on a different phone which is set up by a dent. We won't get a realistic look inside the Snortress of Solitude. Phil will have Khet move all the consoomer shit into a closet and when Mike rolls in with the cameras it'll be Phil and Khet sitting at a decaying IKEA table eating stale cold bread and shivering without heat, half the house in candlelight because they can't afford to run anything but the awwfice that day, while Phil talks wistfully about how if only the trolls hadn't ruined muh business maybe they would be able to heat the house or even eat a scrap of meat this Christmas.
The less that the above is true the happier I will be but we'll fucking see. Anything "sanctioned" by DSP is inherently suspect. As to what the point of this is, Mike wants clout and DSP is perennially obsessed with the idea that if he can "go viral" just once for a good reason it will completely fix his life. Mike will likely get what he wants, and DSP will likely get a mild bump in his metrics for a month or so until his toxic pigroach ways drive him inexorably back into the arms of his retarded regulars.
