We have discussed that I will be outreaching to all types of interview with fans, "detractors" and everything so this would not come at any surprise. I made a similar post in Kiwi Farms regarding Boogie 6 months before the release to a similar reaction so I understand there is a natural cynicism to an outsider.

There will be official interviews with many other large creators such as Turkey Tom, Keemstar, Penguinz0, Stuttering Craig, and others.

I don't really conduct business over Twitter so there are no Twitter DMs but instead I have emails and other phone calls, but I wouldn't release those as it's not professional or necessary. For now you'd have to generally make your own assessment as to why an individual whom has already produced exclusive documentaries on other figures in this ecosystem would lie about doing another one and what risks would be associated with believing them.

I'm sure Phil may mention something on stream at some point in the coming months, but for now - this is your opportunity to be involved in the film! I'd love to get all voices involved so feel free to reach out if you'd like to explore.

In all seriousness though, make it less about his rise and fall (Unless you can dig up shit from his childhood, because Phillip Burnell ages 0-20 is something I want to know more of) and more why he failed. Basically use him as a Streaming for dummies thing going over every mistake, late adoption of a trend, and general attitude. Bonus points if you call him a clinial cnarcisistc at least a few times so we see him bitching about how it is mentally ill and should be illegal to give someone else a mental illness, and therefore you are the retard, not him.

Like I already said. Everyone already knows that DSP is a lying, scamming, begging gambling addict, who's life is a total sham. There are already too many documentaries that have been made about DSP, and we have our own Youtube community that covers every bit of lore that you can imagine.


The only thing new that you could possibly bring to the table, would be to film the inside of Phil's condominium, and Phil's wife. Will you be going to Phil's condo, and will you be filming him and his wife?

@mikeclum If I were you, I would scrap this in favor of documenting another lolcow because what you're doing does not have much of an audience, either for information gathering or viewership:
* Phil won't go along with it unless you manage to convince him it will be "fair" (read: parrots his narrative verbatim, even the parts that make no sense, and doesn't try to get other perspectives).
* Most, maybe all of Phil's viewers aren't all that interested in his past besides fond memories of his old LPs.
* Trolls have already done a lot of the digging/heavy lifting here. We probably won't be interested unless you uncover new lore (details of his ex leaving him, details of how he met his wife/what their home life is like now, what his neighbors think of him, interviews of people who knew him back in Connecticut) and getting those would be tougher than finding the Holy Grail.
* There are plenty of DSP documentaries out there already. Unless you do something really special you're not going to stand out from the noise (at least, not in a positive way).

I think to make this more understanding is a deep dive into Phil's past as a Youtuber. Phil himself blames his downfall on TIHYDP but this is not exactly supported by the statistics (quite the opposite in fact). You should perhaps go along that angle. I bet a lot of us could point you in the direction of his own words as they are still plastered all over the internet. And what's even more important: why the hate against every more succesful Youtuber? He calls it gaming the system but fails to say he did that too (misleading tags, wrong category). Also and this is most important: Phil has a very high tendency to not understanding basic questions and facts or simply misinterpreting what others said. You probably have to pinpoint your arguments on the exact specific point you want to discuss.

If you could get some interviews with his ex-friend John Rambo to get deeper into how their relationship was and what he thinks about Phil now, that'd be pretty unique. All we really have from John is that old vid talking about Project 7 which had a little bit of lore about the general dynamic that they had. Not really sure how you'd manage it though or whether John would care whatsoever at this point.

I do disagree with the general aggressiveness toward this idea. Gatekeeping Phil is cringe and while there are tons of videos already out there for Phil, many are outdated and omit large parts of the lore. They also don't reach a mainstream audience which seems to be the focus of Mike's work. I saw tons of commentary around the Boogie docu that amounted to "wow I never thought he was this bad/never knew this happened/etc" despite boogie being a much bigger piece of internet history and having just as much of an online encyclopedia available for his various shortcomings, so saying it'd be a waste to produce this is foolish when we already know how successful and how many eyes landed on this guy's first doc.

As of right now people primarily know Phil as the gross fap guy. A fraction know about the worse shit like his gambling addiction whether you believe it or not.

Just to parrot what others have said. The only way I see it being interesting is if you get into the snort fort for a sit down. That and some interviews with people in Phils past like Panda, Rambo, etc. Outside of that it's all been done before.

To use a recent example, Phil was similiarly wishy-washy with Stuttering Craig, someone you said that you will be interviewing, about his WWEC account. I assume that you are aware of that how that situation turned out. Two people (Adam and Craig) who were completely neutral about DSP, were convinced of Phil's guilt, and became wise to his lies, completely due to Phil's own actions. Phil, literally yesterday, now claims that they trapped him into an interview in an attempt to get him to admit to detractor conspiracies.

DSP is a pathological liar. DSP will only lie to you. DSP, probably, has already lied to you, just in these email exchanges.

And everyone already knows this.

There is zero point in attempting to do an honest interview with Phil. It is impossible, for DSP to be honest. If you were to interview him, he would only re-hash the same old shit, and possibly invent new lies right there on the spot, to further paint himself as a victim.

DSP is a psychopathic, narcissistic, paranoid, mentally-ill, shut in hermit. DSP will only associate with people who he believes he can fool into believing his lies.

And everyone already knows this.

He has done every single thing within his power, to insulate himself from the outside world - from his lies, from the people who he has scorned, from the people who have and continue to expose his lies, and his psychopathy to the world.

I would honestly prefer if you stayed away from detractor youtubers(especially ones in the vein of doodystreams please god). I think a documentary from the perspective of someone who knows little of Phil and talking with him and observing him is more interesting, As Clothes in my closet stated we already have enough content covering him and his lore. If you go through with this I would like you to find out for yourself what kind of person he is and what life he leads. If you can't film him in person inside his home, don't bother. We already have dozens of joon the king documentaries, you won't have anything to add.

You were saying that you wanted to reach out to fans and detractors, akin to what Craig from the Sidescrollers tried to do. Are you personally aware of the interview that DSP did with the Sidescrollers. Have you seen the interview or clips from it? Additionally, have you seen the Rambo+Howard video they made where they talked about DSP? Have you seen the way longer react video by DSP where he "responded" to it?

The problem with DSP is that he has 20+ years of lore which you need to know because DSP will try retcon anything you will ask him about, and this will be the biggest problem for you, unfortunately. Furthermore, DSP is a narcissist and will try to spin anything you put "against" him to not sound wrong. An example of this was during the interview, where he was accused of making a threat towards someone else and DSP said he was saying something "in a threating manner".

DSP has put the past 15 years of his life online so we know way too much information about him. The reason a lot of people are asking you to get footage from inside his house is because DSP has basically stopped making any video footage which is not from inside his office. Back in 2014, when he moved the Seattle, he was very enthusiastic in sharing every aspect of his life and splitting the footage into a lot of separate videos because he got paid based on views. DSP got paid a lot of money from his vlogs and gameplay videos. As a result, DSP spent a lot of money on useless garbage like figurines, overpriced appliances, a massive bluray collection which he never watched or even had duplicated in, or just restaurants and food. DSP documented it on video and you can find it all on youtube to this day. When detractors pointed out that he was wasting a lot of money while still asking for more from his fans and claiming to be broke, he stopped showing the inside of his house in particular. While we don't expect golden statues inside his home, there is some expectation that the money was wasted on more frivolous things which are now stored in say the living room. However, it is more likely the case that the condo is way more run down now than it was when he bought it, since he claims to be broke while telling all the stories about how things are breaking down all over his house and how he has no money to fix up his condo. The same thing applies to his shopping trips. For one he's very afraid of stalkers following his weekly route, despite him practically telling us every week where he is going. Another point is that he claims that he spends a lot of money on groceries every week while he only feeds two people and a cat but still doordashes restaurant meals regularly.

Here are some questions you might ask him:
- You claim that TIHDYPs ("This is how you don't play" videos, MGS one by EvilAJ was the originator of this idea) shifted the tide and made you disliked on Youtube. Why do you think that?
- Why were there already people on youtube that disliked you before the first TIHDYP came out? (DSPCultleader comes to mind)
- Why did people in the FGC dislike you already before you got your evo 4th place, going back to the late 1990s? (Look up "Dent Sea Scrolls" on youtube)
- Do you think there's perhaps a common thing between all those instances?
- Why do you think it's okay for you to overshare on a daily basis? You claim to have learned from the past, yet you still do it
- How do you manage to accrue five thousand dollars in business expenses (this is part of his bankruptcy documents)?
- Why do you have to ask to money for bills all the time? Do you not make it unless you ask? Have you tried?
- Have you tried to reduce the expenses in any way?
- Why do you doordash so much?
- Have you considered getting a cheaper place?
- Can you show me your WWE Champions account on your phone real quick? (It's assumed to be "DownFromTheRafters" and is weeks younger than the actual game, beware that he might acquire a different account to prove that he's not DownFromTheRafters). If we get to see the inside of Phil's pig sty and see how fat kat is that would be cool. Seeing Phil off stream and how awkward he probably is in the real world would be interesting.

But Phil is a compulsive liar and I cannot see how anything of value will come from this.

Pushing him on why he has no friends and lives in isolation would bring out emotions if done correctly

Interviewing his parents would be new. Tracking down pandalee and John Rambo could uncover new exclusive information.

I doubt any of this happens though. Phil won't allow anything to break his echo chamber of lies and break his fans pignosis.

If it is not documenting, IN-PERSON, his day to day life inside his home with his wife, it is 100% a complete waste of time. There are several YouTube channels that do a far better job than you could, at documenting his rise as a YouTube content creator and his incredible spiral to irrelevancy.

This is not an insult, this is a fact.

You made a massive mistake posting here to begin with. You fucked yourself over before you could even begin. Phil’s minions watch this place 24/7 and report back.

I would suggest, as everyone else has, to either get access to his residence in Renton to film, or completely abandon the idea. It is 100% worthless to do if you are unable to.

Move on to another lolcow or whatever subject is my recommendation, unless you really want to waste your time and money doing another irrelevant “documentary”. DSP will not grant you access unless you give him a significant amount of money and sign an NDA. Which he is too stupid and paranoid to even propose to begin with.

Just move on, you’ve already fucked up and apparently haven’t learned from your mistakes with Boogie. Boogie has already said you were “misinformed” about aspects of that documentary, what makes you think this won’t be worse?
