all the fucking time. go to prospering grounds and click any thread. see what the first replies are. there's a crowd of people who just shoot down any new thread going "where's the funny????".

this is what i mean about the dsp board just being an isolate. you've been here 6 years and i don't think you've ever clicked any featured line.

New threads on prospering grounds are different though. DSP is a proven certified lolcow. I'm not trying to move the goalpost here but I'm just trying to ask for an equivalent scenario

Of course, but this isn't about the thread being worse in a quality aspect, it's about having to retread the same. old. ground. People aren't changing minds here, which is fine, but can't we just call it a draw? We're in like the 19th inning rn, let's pack up the cleats on this one. Otherwise idk how the board can "fit in" like you said.

I don't really have a solution, I don't even know if there is one, but it seems more unique to the DSP board than you're making it out to be. But if there's a board that has a similar problem that's good because maybe you know a solution; I don't.

Just give it a day or two and the tourists will move on. It is a bummer because the KC thread basically doubled in length overnight so I thought there was some sort of interesting development going on, but it was just people going "lol why u so mad" and "Phil isn't a cow because he hasn't raped/murdered anyone" despite the previous 10 or so pages being completely chill and basically just laughing and sharing all the sneak disses, speculating about future streams, a few saying it was a boring nothingburger, and making fun of people like Doody who actually got mad. I'm actually surprised it got featured at all because, while I do think it was entertaining, I also think it was pretty tame and very inside baseball. Like, the sneak disses are entertaining, but I don't know if anyone who only knows Phil as "that guy who plays video games bad" is likely to pick up on them and it'd probably be an incredibly boring stream.

Even among regulars, I feel like it wasn't *that* big of an event. For reference, I think the thread was moving faster during the PC setup stream. It was also more lively because there was a lot more to discuss, at least the first few pages of the KC thread were pretty tame posts that amounted to "this is what I was expecting." Probably because, well...it's what a lot of people were expecting. This might be the first time Phil was "physically" on stream there, but he's been in chat enough the last few days where most people pretty clearly picked up on how the interactions would go. Not that the PC setup stream is feature worthy either or anything, I'm sure you can google plenty of "boomers try to setup new PC" and get similar, but much shorter results.

IMO, we're pretty lucky that it's just limited to the KC thread and not spilling over into the main thread. Best thing to do if you're bothered by it is not engage.

Where if I even talk about him on my streams, people will post about how they don't want to hear about him and provide timestamps to skip it? People complain any time he's in the main happening thread because "wow he lost money again how funny!!!!!!!!!!!!".

I will just suggest to ignore this kind of messages and use the main thread instead. But people from here just get worked up with the most basic bait like "Phil outlive another one" and "dentractor seething"

There is no point to keep arguing with 15 people and justify why you think that a 42 year old with a sonic hat asking for money and cursing after lose in sf6 is funny enough and he do not have to rapped anyone also to be funny. Just ignore and move on.

Bossman is the inverse of DSP for me: IMHO Bossman is incredibly entertaining to watch, but boring to talk about. DSP is unbearable to watch unfiltered, but lots to talk about and analyze.

But people going into featured threads to shit them up are pretty common. I think what makes this board seem more 'isolated' is that we see this embarrassing behavior quite often and take these negative examples as something to avoid doing. The idea of posting in Chantal's thread, embarrassing myself by lack of insights makes me cringe. So I'll rather lurk.

I created the Kino Casino thread based on your feedback and also as a containment thread for the incoming posts from the sektur bros.

I also featured the thread because this was a collaboration between the vortex (centered around DSP) and the sektur (centered around ethan ralph). Warski is DMing with Metokur about a potential stream between Metokur, Warski, PPP, and DSP. brightsidebob and DSP together on a stream, before cancerman dies. As a long time follower of DSP, Metokur, and Ralph, the stream will be great.

I was also specific about the word 'dentractors'. I am talking about the gaggle of low iq retards on X and other places who cannot cope with the fact that DSP is getting a little glaze and the future is so bright I gotta wear shades.

Let the sektur bros flame out in the containment and report any posts in main where there is cross over.

Also, most of the featured threads that get a lot of traction because of what's going on usually get an edit near the top of the featured post telling retards if they have nothing interesting to say then to fuck off or just use a specific sticker on the post instead of shitting it up.

While I won't point fingers at everybody here, some people are just beyond retarded and refuse to believe that this subforum gets treated the same as every other subforum. Straight up to the point where people often complain about "unfair" moderations on the politisperg and General Discussion board.

Every Lolcow thread has outsiders going into them rehashing the same "Y DO U GUyS LIEK DIS PERSON THEY R DUM AND BORING" and it's always the same replies as you get here.

I do think people saw dentractors and thought it was a dig at the board itself and didn't realize it was a specifically a term we use to talk about people who (hopefully) aren't regulars on here and that prompted some of the tourists to think it was open season on the board, but I also acknowledge that was probably going to happen no matter what just by virtue of being a featured thread.

Appreciate the feedback and your first thought about the term dentractors makes a lot of sense. I was not referring to the board or posters here. More of Doody and his low IQ drones that just parrot whatever nonsense he spews, the retards on X, etc.

As somebody who only really knows lore on DSP, and others that have come in contact with him over the years, it was kinda weird seeing people on KF, as a very long time lurker, literally parroting DSP's talking points that aren't even true. Like I get it, lol hes just a dumb old boomer wtf is so funny, but I see no point going into a featured topic and talking out my ass. And it was a parade of clowns doing it too.

I'm feeling either 2 or 3. If they keep glazing him like this and actually get him to drop his faggoty machoor professional adult persona it could be one the best arcs in the history of the vortex, but that's pretty unlikely. What's more likely is that they have him on until he just starts timelooping narratives and takes, then they just push him aside because he's actively making their content worse.

I wonder if one of the reasons for this is because DSP himself is an isolate. Like, he's not a part of the Sektur, and up until the past few weeks rarely interacted with anyone else. I know the reason I started getting interested in Nick Rekieta's downfall was I remembered him as being that lawyer that commented on Phil's bankruptcy, which then turned into me looking into others affiliated with Nick once I started following his collapse -- you know, "networking." I know that can't account for all of it, as there are plenty of lolcows in the general "Lolcows" section that aren't affiliated with anyone else, but it definitely doesn't help I'm sure.
