Thought I'd give everyone a small present to celebrate the start of a new year.

For the past roughly 1.5 year, I've been registering DSP's income from streams. This used to include subs and cheers, but since Overrustlelogs was forced to stop in March/April 2020, I couldn't be fucked anymore to keep up with those because it would become time-consuming (used to take maybe a couple of minutes per day). So from that point on, I only noted the total tips amount at the end of a stream + any substantial tip during said stream. My data goes back to March 1st, 2019 (when DSP started using the "tips goal" as a way to help him with paying his (back)taxes), but to be clear: in this post we'll just be looking at the past year.

So, what do I have for you today?

I have the all the "end results" of the tips per stream from the past year. I have also ran some numbers on them to show what DSP rakes in per stream (early/late stream), how much he made per hour during a stream and some totals and averages over 2020, including an "expected" income from cheers and subs (more on that in the notes below).

Notes:
  • all money being discussed in this post is BEFORE taxes, fees etc.
  • all tip amounts in this post are taken from what DSP himself has communicated or has been taken from a source that is/was available to the public
  • keep in mind that this post discusses only two of his revenue streams. To name a few that are not being discussed in this post: Youtube ad revenue, Patreon, Teespring and Twitch ad revenue.
  • to calculate the early stream $ per hour, I left out the first 30 minutes of the stream where he plays music, so that comes down to 5 hours and 15 minutes (5.25 hours). So I basically start the count when he's done fapping and starts yapping.
  • the late stream usually went on for exactly 2 hours, but he has been going "overtime" as of late, sometimes as much as an hour, so I decided to be lenient and go for a duration of 2.5 hours to calculate the late stream $ per hour
  • all income from marathons and events are accounted for separately and have been added to the totals
  • if a particular stream was cut short for whatever reason (e.g. when he had to go to the Meeting of Creditors on March 26th), I have taken that into account
  • to calculate the expected income from cheers and subs over 2020, I have taken the average of the cheers/subs income from the 7 months that I did have the numbers on (August 2019 to March 2020) and simply multiplied that by 12. Spoiler: he receives roughly $3.500 per month from Twitch on average
  • during the December 27th pre-stream (early stream), DSP claimed to have received "between $5.000 and $7.000" in fake tips. I went with the highest amount in my calculations, so $7.000, and counted those as chargebacks. Clip of DSP's claim, as proof:

With that said: happy new year, you beautiful bastards.

Down below you'll find the the numbers and breakdown. I originally wanted to copy-paste the tables directly into this post (that actually works very well), but unfortunately the forum's character limit per post didn't allow me to do so, so I just made a screenshot, ghetto-style:

So, whenever you hear DSP complain about having to pay a lot of fees and/or taxes, keep this in mind: it's because he rakes in absolutely massive amounts of money from gullible people who, somehow, still think they actually need to fork over cash to keep DSP afloat. But let it be known, that's not what DSP needs. No, he needs financial counceling. Because anyone raking in these amounts of money and still having to beg for tips and complain about upcoming bills/expenses is either a compulsive liar or just really, REALLY bad at handling money.

Amazing work! It really gives a nice perspective on 2020 Phil.
I think the best part of it all is that he still other revenue sources.

Also, let it be known that when Phil says that his life has never been better this year, this is the only thing that could possibly make him not lying about that: having so much money coming in from retards that he gets to blow on gacha. He has nothing else to feel good about. Nothing. And we're not even responsible, we can't make him fail to appreciate anything else besides his addiction and ordering food. He does that.

The funny part is he probably doesn't have to beg the way he does. Odds are he'd get these kind of contributions anyway. He could have a better stream, a better environment, probably more viewers. There are plenty of streamers with less of a following who make more than him, and even with him ban hammering and pissing all over his audience they still shell out.

I wonder what would happen if he didn't beg for just like 1 week straight? It will never happen and I doubt he could physically get through a week without begging, but I really wonder if his numbers would be that different?

The only reason they would change is if his audience gets off on being cucked by a pigroach and therefore lose incentive to tip because the experience just isn't the same anymore, like a dominatrix who starts getting too nice.

Personally, I think if Phil found out for a fact that he could make MORE by not begging, he would still do it. Too much of a habit now, and his addiction won't let him stop either.

Very good work Comma!

What's amazing is this is just tips/bits/subs, and has nothing to do with Patreon/YouTube money, which would push that number even higher. Even if you take him at his word that he only makes $500/month on a 190k sub channel, that's still another $6000. (And that would also mean his content is only good for sixty cents ($0.60) for every thousand views it gets (CPM) since he averaged about 934,000 viewers a month for the year.)

If Patreon was at $250 all year (it wasn't but that's where it's at now) that's another $3000 "for free" since he barely does anything to support that income.

Doesn't want any of that and going by those numbers clearly doesn't need any of it either. Change for the better requires effort.. yes weirdly enough even just trying to make himself stop asking for money would in turn also require him to undergo a full personality overhaul. It's the same as asking him to abandon his favorite hobby; his predilection for lying. These traits he's known for are so deeply ingrained that the only way he would ever be forced to change anything is if the window licker khammunity who virtually graze inside the snort fort stop handing him 100k+ a year on a paper plate. They won't though.

Yes he wants more money but not at the cost of actually needing do anything for it. 100% they couldn't even get him to wear anything else but his jammies to "work". Not even with a dollar amount attached.

I disagree. The whole reason he makes this much is begging. It really works. Take away the begging from Phil's streams and what have you got left? A boring streamer with an awful personality who gets salty from time to time. Sure, with his notoriety that's enough to make a decent living, but not six figures.

Damn this article about Phil being one of the most efficient streamers in regards to income per sub on Twitch hits the nail on the head. He has the perfected art of begging mixed with pity. and he has the right audience for this message. I sometimes watch on Twitch (when I am not streaming myself) and the small amount of bits they get in comparism with Phil is astounding. And those streamers are usually very cheerful and even quiet good at the games they play

nice post!
I saw you mentioned this was before taxes and fees. As I understand it, twitch takes a cut from subs and cheers. Unless that has been accounted for and I missed it, does that mean that total is actually lower than it looks?
