Wow this is so sad yet hilarious at the same time.

The saddest con I've ever seen. There is absolutely nothing in those rooms. No decorations, booths, banners, nothing.
Just a big empty beige room with a ball pit and a bouncy castle.

I actually wouldn't mind having that. If just for the laughs, then $40 is pretty cheap to say this painting is like, Fairly OddParents "that $50K vase" levels of valuable. At least it actually looks pretty good given the fact it's a ball pit in a kiddie pool.
 
So many Homestuckcosplayers.... I've never read the thing, but the internet has made me recognize the whole "orange horn + grey skin" cosplay. I had no idea Tumblr was organizing a con until this thread, been reading about it HERE.

I still don't understand what they were thinking with the whole hotel payment scheme. It seems like they either assumed they could pay however they wanted and nobody actually checked with hotel staff. Some people are suggesting it was a scam. Whatever happened it's impressive that they managed to get $17,000 together in less than a day.

Check those priviledges, amirite?

Actually many people were complaining that the hotel didn't have enough multiple gender bathrooms, even the convention staff told them that it wasn't possible for them to have so many different gender bathrooms.

That ball pit was absolutely fucking unacceptable as far as ball pits go. I've seen WAY better ball pits at Hardee's and McDonald's. Seriously, if the admin were going to beg for 17,000 they should have sprung for a much bigger ball pit, one that you cold actually burrow in. Not that I would want to because these are perfect breeding pits for germs.

For $17,000 they could've filled an Olympic swimming pool with balls and maybe they might still have some left over.
 
Oh god, I can not stop laughing at the whole ball pit meme. I do not know why I find it so funny, I just do.
