All of it was true and Canada doesn't give a shit about hurt feelings in such a case. He needs to show loss of income after this video is posted and it will need to be significant. Dropping from $4 a month to $3 isn't significant to the courts.

That's really only going to work for DMCA. Plus, if he wants damages he'll have to sue in that persons country. Otherwise that person wont have to pay for anything. He also doesn't seem to understand what the Hague Convention is.

Defamation is considered a criminal charge in Canada(Thanks Scientology!) in addition to being a civil charge, it's divided into two categories, Libel and Slander and you don't have to prove you have suffered any damages for Libel claims to be valid. However, because Stebbins is based in Arkansas, not only are legal fees expensive, but defamation remains difficult to prove when you're based in the United States, a nation which has always viewed defamation as a tricky thing to prove since the 60s as per the US Consitution (particularly the First Amendment). This means that, just like all the other lolsuits, Dougy Stubbys' attempts at weening in the Canuck Courts will fail just as quickly.

Not that it matters, considering that post-2011, linking to Mutahar's video or this thread isn't really considered defamation in Canada regardless of what he (Muta) or any of us say or claim about Stebbins, whether it's correct or incorrect.

Depends on where you live in the country. I know people don't realise this, but each province has their own view on laws.

This is correct, however, most provinces in Canada don't share the "fuck your feelings, free speech is important" attitude all US states hold (in fact, Canada is of the idiotic position that Hate Speech is a thing, especially since the R v. Keegstra case in 1990, which affirmed that Hate Speech is a crime in Canada and can be loosely interpreted by other provinces at the detriment of free speech under Canada's Criminal Code, unlike the US, which has protections against such a premise under its Constitution). Furthermore, as this is a constitutional issue, it's down to the government as a whole in regards to the final say. I don't even have to mention the fact that Peter Nygard got away with his bullshit for several decades because of Canada's shitty Libel laws (which, I'll stress again, you DON'T have to prove that you've suffered any damages for Libel claims to be valid up in Canada, meaning you can still be fined heavily for saying mean things about people, which is sad and pathetic) and the Libel chill that ensued as a consequence.

Though, again, it doesn't matter here, considering that Stebbins will lose, or even bankrupt himself over legal fees because vexatious litigants never stop. Both, in fact. Because Stebbins isn't Nygard, he just thinks he can be like him.

I saw that video, there's actually a shit load of videos coming out about this all at the same time. One I saw directly refers to the farms and the archiving of Acerthorn's shitty behavior over the last decade or so here, which is pretty funny. Can't wait to see this chode get raped in court. Also I'm surprised his channel hasn't been taken down yet, hopefully that changes soon

I don't know much about the law, but I don't think Acer has the licenses necessary to practice law as a "freelance paralegal" and charge people for legal advice. I don't think that itself is entirely legal.

The guy who joined because his friend had invited him, and because he supposedly had an interaction with Acer that he did not tell much about nor show or prove ever happened? The guy who openly said "I'm gonna tell Acer about Rekieta and Jim laughing at him what do you guys think?" and was told it was useless and laughed at by other members? I told him not to do it, I do not know him, I have no involvement in what he has planned on doing, has done, or might do. That's all there is to that.

This member in question no longer has access to the AcerThorn channel. He hasn't for a while, he was one of the main reasons I locked the channel down too.

I hadn't seen it in the OP when I had last seen the post, so my apologies there. That is my fault.
