I know trauma can make you do weird things, but that doesn't mean I have to suffer them after telling you to knock it off.

I understand someone who survives a plane crash is going to be twitch around aircraft, but that doesn't mean I can't fly a model plane in my backyard because he might see it, get triggered and start a campaign to ban model aircraft from being flown within eyesight of traumatized survivors of aviation accidents..... his grief is understandable, his demands, egged on by various and sundry lefties, are not, and while I dont' hate him, I have no problem telling him he's wrong and shunning him for being wrong.

Surviving trauma is now just another case of "Please be patient, I have autism" where you can't criticize the person no matter what they do or you're just continuing the trauma!

Well, I feel for you having autism, that must make your life hard, but, that doesn't mean I have to stand reverently by and let you stab me in the arm with a fork when you're in one of those stimming moods.... some things are just not allowed and will have consequences. Becoming a political mouthpiece is one of those, especially when you're too young to possibly get the ramifications, I'm more angry with his parents than him.

I'm not saying don't disagree with him, or even note the fact that he's obviously an idiot (which he is). I'm just saying cut him some slack for at least a little while. I don't see any reason to think he's being malicious in his activities. Even if he's being an idiot. Which he is.

It's because he WASN'T IN A SCHOOL SHOOTING! He was away from the school when the fun began. He herd about it hopped on his tricycle and peddled his way over their to insert himself into the media circus.

No that was Fake News from the Right wing camps, actually, and it was a pretty fucking douche move on top of that. They selectively edited one of Hogg's interviews when he was talking about riding back to school on his bike later that night to go and do more filming at the school. They cut out the entire first part of the video where he was talking about making a return trip, in order to make it look like he wasn't there in the first place and had to ride home to get his camera. He already had his camera because he was recording videos at the school during the ordeal.

To be fair CBS also edited their interview with him really fucking weird so that didn't help matters either, but regardless, Hogg was present at the school. Whatever opinion anyone holds about the kid and how unbelievably obnoxious he can be, that entire "Hogg wasn't even at the school" story was completely bogus.

He’s no different from Cindy Sheehan, or those 5 widows from 9/11 (and only them). Lots and lots of media attention, and he’ll be used as a brick against anyone who disagrees with him (because the only reason you argue with “Absolute Moral Authority” is because you are evil and mean). He has another two to six years he can milk this for, and probably will, which is why I’m already tired of him. Because it’s reruns, nothing but fucking reruns.

Why do people lie about this? What's gained from doing this? All they're doing is causing confusion, distrust, and resentment with everyone. Like, I know the boots-on-the-ground reporter is the Hollywood ideal (with the exception of various individuals) but like, shouldn't that be a role model by which you strive to be as well?

Guess I'm just showing my idealistic and naive beliefs.
