I think you should mention the incident back in 2013-2014 when he confronted Ben Kuchera over a Kotaku article that had some comments he supposedly made that were implied by the journos to be worse than they were. The only reason I know about this is because in his Quinnspiracy theory series Jim highlighted this incident as an example of hypocrisy within the gaming press over how they didn't want to write about Zoe Quinn and her shenanigans. Not loading for me (likely a KF/tor thing) so I don't know if it's the clip, but before he was a lolcow, there was a famous rant from 2009 where he said Game Journos don't get to fans, and criticised the high scores they give out. Basically calling out payola and double standards among the games press.

A couple of takeaways i had from this were how easy and kind of useless his job sounded, and how weird it was for him to shit on the first game without really saying why the second one was better, at least not with any substance.

Jaffe might have had work as a project manager, but he doesn't know the industry and how it has changed, so any creative input from him is going to be garbage.
Now he's sucking up to Mercante for...reasons that elude me. But possibly so he can attempt to recapture his youth and be hip and cool again...at nearly 60.
