David uncloaking here isn't actually that unexpected.
Right now, the former Anti-GG affiliates are ripping themselves open in multiple spots at once due to Anita feeding Laura Kate Dale into a metaphorical woodchipper. Daveykins is thus caught between siding with Team Anita (the minority opinion here, ironically) and team LKD. Davey has it especially bad because he alternates between shrieking about TB and trying desperately to stay in his buddies' good books. There is no winning move for the guy.
One would be almost motivated to feel for him, were he not a serial asshole that typifies the worst of CON.
