Plebcomics are a good dose of sit down and shut the fuck up. I must say I like their take on Walky

Oh man, this guy.
I still remember how he handeled a situation on the TFwiki on facebook with a super autistic kid.
Said kid was basicaly posting the same stupid joke over and over making the PB group his own hugbox, and members where telling him to stop, but they just got blocked(while also calling people gay and retards).
When the page was complaining to Willis he ignored them and actualy told them that they need to live with it untill he turned around and just said "fuck it" and abandoned it.
He had one simple job; block one person for spamming, instead he rather let the situation boil to a bursting point.

Leave it to Walky to not know what the fuck the duties of an admin are. If I were him, I'd have found a way to IP ban the kid.

To be fair, I get why he did not do this. The kid was so autistic that he bought 10 or something of the same toy and called them all Steve and made stories up for them. He did not want to be the bad guy, but god damn if everyone did not like him it's better to let one person go then let everything go to shit.

What does "Shortpacked" actually mean? It's apparently some kind of retail jargon.
It's a retail/collector toy term. It means when when a specific toy, like an action figure, is released for sale in far smaller numbers than other toys from the same series with the same release cycle. Like, in one box of toys sent to retailers, there will be five units of three toys and two units of one toy - that latter toy was "shortpacked."

Outside of really expensive toys, I never understood the logic behind it because it's not like the toy companies were trying to deliberately create artificial scarcity since they don't benefit from it. Yet when opportunists realized a toy was shortpacked they'd find them and resell them to anxious collectors for outrageous sums. It fucks over fans, and most of the time they'd even out the numbers by producing and shipping more of that originally shortpacked toy. But fanatics get so scared they won't be able to get the toy they'll spend their rent money to get one on eBay only to find the shortpack was just a bizarre marketing decision and look! there's 20 of them on the shelf now at retail and sobbing neckbeard is out of luck.

I'll risk the powerleveling ratings when I say that the brief time I spent working at a comics and gaming store was the most suicidal I've ever been.

So he named his comic Shortpacked because it's something that sucks?

Ironically enough, Hasbro have recently begun doing something like this, making figures of fan-favourite characters and then only selling them in hugely expensive boxed sets with ugly/unwanted repaints of more expensive figures that were released earlier, ensuring that only exceptional individuals who are desperate enough to shell out over
$100 for box that primarily contains toys that they already own in garish colour schemes will actually buy the figures at retail instead of going online.

Hasbro are kinda fucking stupid.

Anyway, back on-topic, I actually read through all of Shortpacked! once. The ending was probably the most exceptional shit ever put into webcomic form.

Nintendo's actually notorious for that phenomenon, intentionally shipping tiny numbers of units in order to drum up demand and increase the rabidness of the fanbase. They did it with Amiibo, they did it with the Classic, and it's recently started to blow up in their face, since the main people it helps are scalpers and people have just started saying "fuck it," and stopped bothering.

Exceptional shit from an extremely exceptional individual, lol. But at least he's no Dobbles.

I just realized, what's with SWJ cows and children's entertainment? My personal SJW cow has an obsession with Legos. And Walky has and obsession with transformers. And dobby and his obsession with splatoon
(Arguably a family game, but mostly for kids imo)

A desperate desire to return to simpler times?
