Right, so a lot has been happening over the past day or so as the drama has been unfolding so I'll try to catch you guys up to speed as best I can.

Aurini did a video with a youtube user named TheBechloff talking about Owen's video. Not a lot of new info, just a lot of discussing with a picture of some Nintendo figures and stuff. (Seriously? Can't even whip up a title card or something?)

Meanwhile on Jordan Owen's end, he did a Google Hangout with some gamergaters to talk about the drama and what's going on with The Sarkeesian Effect. The whole video is 4 hour's long, so skip to the 16 minute mark if you want to get to where Jordan joins in. Just like the Aurini interview, though, not a lot that's new.

Back at the original fundraising video, Davis seems to have gotten into an argument with Thunderf00t (and yes, he does spell his name with zeroes. no one knows why). For the uninitiated, Thunderf00t is the patron saint of euphoric anti-feminists everywhere. Think Richard Dawkins, except less respectable. This explains the sense of betrayal in Davis's first few responses.

Then suddenly, an unlikely ally crosses enemy lines to offer aid to Mr. Owen.
Dan Olson is a hipster the creator of the "Folding Ideas" series of videos where he talks for a very long time about stuff, and he's pretty well regarded in the SJW community from what I can tell. Jordan's response to his offer was definitely not negative.

Perhaps there is some hope for the two warring sides to one day get along...?

Seems like a crucial detail that Davis left out of his whole "the mediator is 100% behind me on what I'm doing" spiel. Owen also made a video about this, complete with Johnny Cash quote at the end.

Unfortunately, this might be all we see of this saga for a while, as they seem to have agreed that the smart thing now is to just shut up. I'll keep my eye out for more, though.

Those of you who've been following the Gamergate thread have probably heard of a little -- likely never to be released -- documentary venture called The Sarkeesian Effect: a joint venture of Jordan Owen and Davis M.J. Aurini.

While all efforts to take down those on the side of GamerGhazi are appreciated, the men involved in the production -- with particular attention to Aurini -- were far more interested in using the fan donated funds which were supposed to go to the movie to indulge in drinking, smoking, and masturbating. Aurini then had the temerity to beg for even more fan money to actually achieve the goals of his glorified scam.*

Fortunately for all those seeking comedic material, that's not even the tip of the iceberg. Aurini has produced hundreds of pages and dozens of hours of content. He has a personal blog, a podcast, a novel which can be read for free with Kindle Unlimited, a new blog on Reaxxion, a Twitter feed, and a Youtube Channel.**

While I was originally thinking of posting this thread in the Lolcow board, his black-hole singularity of women-hatred meant that there was no other place for this aside from the one and only Autism Thunderdome. Davis M.J. Aurini is, without hyperbole, a comedic gift from Heaven.

* Owen's might actually care about releasing the product, but this info is harder to confirm seeing as how no one on the planet gives one single fuck about anything related to Jordan Owen.

This is the guy who makes a show of waving a cigarette around while taking only the most shallow of drags. I've noticed that about millennial-aged dorks. It's like a cargo cult of masculinity. It really doesn't take much mental work to catch onto how fucked up Aurini is. He gets trolled and mocked, just not nearly to the level he deserves.

Personally, I think a large part of that is the sheer volume of content he produces. He has three hours worth of content on his Youtube channel alone he's produced in the last week. Just about any activity will bring greater pleasure than drudging through hours of sperging about the merits of White Nationalism.

When the mood strikes me to deliberately inflict upon myself hours of racist torment, I'll go through Mein Kampf. At least that book was actually important to the history of the world. I doubt anyone outside this forum gives a limp hand job about the intricate details of one-half of The Sarkeesian Effect crew's views on how if women are dressed up slutty enough, they're asking to get raped.

Okay I get that but really there's not been that much condemnation over Aruini from Gamergate. I mean I get it. there's no leader but really i think this is something that should be talked about. Aruini has fucked up and because of his connection to gamergate has made the movement some what questionable. however we've got people like Sargon come up with wonderful excuses like giving him no publicity is a better idea.
