You think they’ll have Lobo cuck Jor-El? Since DC has such a fetish for cuckery after all, I would expect nothing less from the man who made a shit eating joke with Superman.

This reusing actors trend from the big two is pathetic.

They will fuck this up. Know why? Our old friend Bill is here talk about (silver age?) Pre-Crisis Superman. Measure this to all the writers who mishandle the character.

Nigger we can see it, “The Batman” was set to be the future for WB’s hottest property, the sequel should’ve been out by now. It’s clearly being sabotaged, writing is on the crumbling wall.
James Gunn outright recently trashed Zack Snyder first. Long before Zack said the rumors the Superman reboot was probably going to get re-shoots. Zack Snyder doesn't have a history of shit talking directors. At most, he may throw shades at WB but never other directors. Openly trashing directors in Hollywood publicly is unheard of unless corporate politics are involved.

Clark's mom did most of the work in transforming him into a human, is that what women think men are? weak unsure cowards who you wouldn't give a time of day? She didn't think of her adoptive son deserved a persona beyond that of an incel? no wonder that cunt couldn't have kids.
Nigger what are you sperging about? Someone translate this for me.

one of the origin stories had Martha Kent help design the "clark kent" persona, so everything Billy says in the clip above is more of how Clark's adoptive parents felt about humanity vs him doing it all by himself

Damn that adds so many more layers to Bill's fucked up mindset now that you mention it. I'm not a huge DC nerd. To me the real Superman is a lot like a holy saint figure, idk like Jesus but not in a disrespectful way. A guy who helps others not because he expects anything but out of grace and humbleness with the extra layer that he lives among men. Anything else and any deconstruction of the character is unnecessary. He is what he is.

Yeah afaik traditionally the idea is that Clark would try to save people and because he's really Kal it doesn't kill him, more than he realizes he's Super so then he decides to save people

See, that I can’t criticize that because Zack deserves it and he’s fucking retard who enjoyed way too much sympathy pats on the back for the Snyder Cut because he failed at being a father. Anyone WB has gotten is a worthless retard because anyone with common sense avoids them like the plague or in the enlightened chad’s case, he gets forced to make a sequel he doesn’t want to make and goes scorched earth. Todd Phillips, blessed be his name did that twice and stabbed the “Elseworlds” idea right in the womb, thankfully.

Anyway, Zack started this mess with his smoothbrain late to the party take on the World’s Finest and he’s a total bitch.

I'd like to remind everyone that Supergirl storyline this film is adapting is written by a guy who's such a lolcow that he nearly led to DC getting a lawsuit over a Batman comic (there's a pretty funny (but extremely lengthy) story behind it).

It won't be surprising, the writer of the original Supergirl comic storyline has written a cuck storyline in almost every other comic storyline he wrote.

Doubt it will be made at all, but hypothetically speaking, he is good casting for that role since he's a big, funny muscle biker. They'd fuck up casting Supergirl and get Zendaya or some other uggo Zoomer actress.
It's meant to start filming in January, so chances are it gets made. Could always end up being a tax write off, but doubt it unless Superman bombs very hard. Someone called Milly Alcock was cast as Supergirl, never seen her in anything so can't say how bad or good she is.

While I find the idea of adapting Superman vs. The Elite as awesome, what James Gunn seems to be doing seems bloated.
There's this optimistic :optimistic: hope that all those heroes are just cameos to establish this as a mature DC Universe instead of starting from zero. Otherwise, having Ultraman, and so many heroes suggests the film will be a mess and a downgrade from that source material. I hope I am wrong, but it will require serious skill to make this work without stealing the focus from Superman, or it being a movie to promote other movies sort of deal as the MCU was guilty of doing.

Looks like the breadtuber community will be demonizing Christopher Nolan the same way they are demonizing Robert Eggers Nosferatu now. Mind you, Movie Bob already hates Nolan because he thinks the Dark Knight trilogy is pro-George W Bush propaganda. This is the same community that unironically thinks Doug Walker a Nazi alongside Critical Drinker because he makes fun of the Disney Star Wars movies.

Nolan’s Batman did do a lot of damage but the first two are the most consistent sucessive Batman movies with the same cast, (with one exception but nobody watched those films for Rachel) everything fell apart with the godawful patched-together third one. That movie came out in the same timeframe as the Transformers movies reaching their fever pitch and it is shocking how much more retarded Dark Knight Rises is than anything Michael Bay ever made. Baneposting is the only good thing to come out of it.

That’s a problem with Batman, each film in his many takes never feels connected even if it’s the same cast or “universe” it’s a new Bruce each time, sometimes literally. Batman Begins and Dark Knight are the only films where I get a sense of proper continuity.

Wasn't there an interview years later where Christopher Nolan hinted that either WB or Zack Snyder wanted him to make The Dark Knight Rise set up Man of Steel? Man of Steel feels different from the other Zack Synder-directed DCEU movies because it has Christopher Nolan as a producer. I personally saw Tom Hardy Bane quoted more than any other MCU villain until Thanos in the later Avengers movies.

Yes, they wanted it to set up the DCU.

DKR was a dumpster fire because of that, Heath ascending to pure energy and the forced rewrites to excise Joker and probably also Nolan wanting out.

I never understood the DCEU and DCU plans. Well, I do, they were stupid, but why they didn't flat-out copy the original phases of the MCU.

DC, more than Marvel, is made up of "solo" heroes with their own very solidly-defined corners of the DC Universe, and should be even more geared to the original MCU plan of the A-list heroes getting solo trilogies each and each numbered film leading into an equivalent-numbered team-up movie, versus how the Avengers' A-listers always had their corners meld into one another with the Avengers being so prominent a part of their stories/lives. Once you get the initial JL A-listers' first movies (Supes, Bats, Wondy, Flash, Lantern) out of the way, go into Justice League 1 with like Starro or so and introduce Aquaman (finding alien starfish in Atlantis is a natural introduction) and Martian Manhunter (comes to Earth to warn of Starro, I'd say), then keep up each trilogy, JL film, and "universe building" films (your Suicide Squads, World's Finest or Flash/GL team-ups, Teen Titans to spin Robin off from the Batman films, etc.) up to a Crisis on Infinite Earth equivalent. Each A-lister's solo film can see their stories advance between fighting major solo villains of theirs (Metallos, Riddlers, Circes, Rogues) and personal plot lines (Clark woos Lois and eventually marries her, Bruce adopts and trains Robin and they become the Dynamic Duo in his films, Diana Prince goes from military intel to curating a Greek museum in Gateway while wooing Steve, etc.).

Then once you do that.... either reboot naturally and start anew, or scale back and go back to some "smaller" adventures and build up again to a second Final Crisis trilogy or so. Focus on the new Young Justice generation as you give more prominence to adult Titans and keep the JL heroes' lives moving (Superman has Jon with Lois, Barry and Iris wed, Green Lantern deals with the Guardians' corruption or shitty back-up plans like in Johns' arc, etc.). But yeah, keep that reboot in mind so the universe doesn't get too bloated or become an aimless mess like the MCU post-Infinity Saga.
