Was there any point to that one lady being a cyborg? The one cyborg ability that we saw from her is that she is good at aiming a gun (which she ended up not firing), and I don't think she needed to be a cyborg in order to be good at that.

She is the Engineer from the Authority, and was there to set up the Authority film that is now no longer happening.

In terms of plot relevance, she was the tech person of the team hacking into computers and using blades to slice up Superman’s robots.

Kind of a worthless inclusion, especially since she is stealing the role of Mercy Graves. Would have just been better to have Mercy there given she is an actual Superman character and has the same functions and purpose of being a henchwoman to Lex.

She's Sasha Bordeaux, she was Bruce Wayne's bodyguard in the comics, and she was a part of Checkmate.

According to James Gunn and the Actress María Gabriela de Faría, Lex is fucking the Engineer on the side.

Sidenote: But James Gunn Fucked her Shit Up

This immediately tanked my respect for DWJ, which is a shame, because he was the one newer voice in comics that wasn't coming off like a cringe faggot. A part of it is his stance, sure, but I'm way more disgusted by his, "MY FICTIONAL CHARACTER WOULD HATE YOUR POLITICS" bullshit. I just can't not think about that one greentext about how Luffy would beat up JK Rowling or some shit.

At least this has introduced me to several new indie artists spoofing his retarded ICE picture by showing their own spins on Batman choking out Antifa and terrorists.

Has anybody else noticed what DC have now decided to do with Superboy Prime?
It honestly feels kinda like they're trying to gaslight me with the character at this point. (For those unaware, Prime was introduced just before the first Crisis as a sort of appreciation-type thing to the fans, a 'what-if you, a DC fan, were in the comics!' style character, Marvel stole this with Gwenpool). Naturally, as Prime was introduced just before Crisis on Infinite Earths, his Earth (Earth Prime, real Earth, somehow) was destroyed, and he was then forced into a pocket dimension to watch DC go from the light-heartedness of the Silver Age to the edge that came after, things like Joker beating Jason Todd to death with a crowbar, or Doctor Light becoming Doctor Rape, and he ended up hating DC for turning into an edgy mess, which lead to Infinite Crisis where DC basically used the character as a way to mock old fans upset at them for fucking up everything constantly, where they outright made him whiny and stupid despite being overpowered. The last time he showed up in a big event he effectively monologued to himself "HOLY SHIT I FUCKNG HATE EVENTS SO MUCH, THIS SHIT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME AND I JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT EVIL BATMAN" before he beat the shit out of Batkek in a weirdly good issue that makes powerscalers seethe then was ignored by every following issue.

But recently, it seems like DC have changed their direction for the character, rather than use him to make fun of the (objectively correct) fans, they've decided to give him his redemption arc so that they can say shit like this

Of course, the character who you turned evil because of a hatred of edgeshit would love the universe of supreme edgeshit! Definitely. It kinda seems to me that rather than use Prime to mock the readers, (some of whom ended up relating to the idea of 'wow comics suck now') they are trying to gaslight readers with him instead. Maybe I'm reading too far into things and are underestimating how easily people would be convinced by fictional characters. The only thing that Superboy Prime as a jaded fan would think about the Absolute Universe is "Wow, so we're just repeating Marvel's Ultimate Universe? About 20 years too late for that." or "Please god just let me die, I fucking punched a time paradox version of myself and didn't die, the last time I should have died I just phased out and back in to me reading the comicbook where I died oh god."
Rate me autistic but they should've just left Prime to have his happy ending without dragging him back into the comics.

Didn't they already redeem him back in the Death Metal event when Wondy convinces him to help stop the Batman Who Laugh's plan?

Yeah that was the redemption arc I was talking about, and he "died" at the end of that in a way that would convincingly let them let the character rest for a bit, where he found himself back on Earth Prime with a version of Krypto and his girlfriend back.
But nah it was all part of Doomsday Time Trappers plan, and the world in question was fake so Prime seemingly just immediately destroys it outright!

I don't believe Gunn is getting fired in any case; he's just too powerful for that even after these flops. He probably will get saddled with a producer with veto power over him though, especially if WB is bought out.

Just finished the Last Dog of Krypton mini-series. Oddly enough, it's actually good! Or at least not extremely bad like Batman 2025, or the not-Ultimates Absolute X bullshit. This along with Dark Patterns are the recent DC productions that don't suck, against all odds.

Hey man what the fuck are you talking about? Is this like a comic or a TV show or what? I feel like this is could be a total shitpost with all the dumb DC stuff there is.

So did he go back to the whole "eVeRyThInG wAs BeTtEr On My EaRtH" bit?
Lets ignore every other point and just state a simple fact.

They followed Superman up with a show that stars John Cena.
And before Superman, they had a show with Yet Another Suicide Squad starring a bunch of D-listers.

So who would you say is correct about the state of Gunn’s DCU?

A lot of Marvel's films didn't succeed till Avengers, only exception being Iron Man, so maybe Gunn has a chance with his low performers. Lets be honest though, WB is in the midst of a merger currently and is notorious for throwing shit out the second it doesn't make them a billion. Superman is the only real 'success' of the lot so far and it did worse than MOS - a film Warner tried to rush Batman into the universe of to do better.

In addition his shows have only been misses so far, with Peace Maker being a standout blunder as it may have just placed Warner in hot water with Epic Games, who seem to be rethinking their Fortnite partnership with WB given the Nazi dance Gunn sold them.

I am expecting this whole thing to burst into flames, TBH. The next films are Supergirl and Clayface, both of which are likely to be underperformers. Supergirl will likely drag the brand down further since they are taking from a controversial Tom King run. The next series is Green Lantern, which has one image out that looks like shit and a premise that sounds terrible, grounding Green Lantern on Earth for a buddy cop series. Superman 2 will be the last deciding factor on whether or not they keep going, or just pivot exclusively to Batman again with Reeves.

Peacemaker is lame and badly written, cringe dialogue like a high school student trying to mimic Joss Whedon's buffy era writing. Very pathetic and sad that people pretend to like this slop to own the snyder jeets. Both suck.

James Gunn is the type of dude who hypes up some Earth shattering surprise in his finale, and then afterwards when everyone is like "Where the fuck is it?" he's like "Didn't you see Bibbo Bibbowski standing in the background!?"

For real, it's hilarious how much he has to play damage control on twitter trying to explain why his over indulgent bullshit is actually a masterpiece.
