I remember watching a video essay about how comedy as a movie genre died, and it basically boiled down to talented people now using the internet to make videos and podcasts by themselves rather than working within the industry. I would assume something similar is happening currently to other parts of Western media. Thanks to the internet, we have countless people making comics, cartoons, music, etc. by themselves without being part of any major company. This decentralization means most stuff produced tends to have a niche appeal, and their creators generally build a specific audience around that. There's an enormous amount of media that will never hit mainstream popularity, and their creators are content with that.Wtf is up with media sucking lately?
South Park sucks now, Alien Earth was garbage, Lots of cartoons getting terrible reboots or simply refusing to die. Movies are no longer talking points among people cause most of them are so unremarkable or unrecognizable to the general public.
James Gunn humor and writing is general faggy and retarded, but peacemaker was way more coherent back then. What happened bruh?
I have a feeling James Gunn is setting up a new show following the 11th street kids and their new spy company, and a lot of the set up in the last 2 episodes is meant for that show.It felt like they were still putting pieces on the board but the game’s already over???
Large mix of factors, though I will be repeating and building off of @The Wise ShamanWtf is up with media sucking lately?

Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees
Was that seriously the finale? What the fuck even happened this season? It felt like they were still putting pieces on the board but the game’s already over???
I had assumed after last week that there were three episodes left, it pretty much felt like that point in the arc. That ep 8 would have a vengeful Keith come to earth, do something really bad and threaten worse. Then a two part finale. I was surprised that 8 was the finale as it didn't seem like enough time to build a threat and wrap it up. About 15 minutes in, I was wondering why the fuck I was watching a tiny lollipop land gremlin hump a man's helmet instead of any story happening.I'm half way through the final episode and it and like I've missed an episode or something. It has very little to do with the overarching storyline
I was hoping it was that bear from ROH/AEWWTF is with the Bear, I have only heard of her through some YouTuber explaining the story. Never would have guessed it would be this popular.
I didn't know it was that popular, but to be fair, it's quite a good read. The first series deals about the bear and how she kills people, until a copycat emerges. She's a no-nonsense villain protagonist with no redeeming traits, which is refreshing in today's woke media. You'll wish she ends badly, and maybe she does in the currently ongoing sequel. I dunno how she fits in the DC multiverse since she's still a regular woman, using tactics to win against her foes. Oh, and she's a bear indeed, but she ain't a furry: Even though every character is an anthro animal, they behave like regular people. This may or may not be a way to show how the she-bear sees people.WTF is with the Bear, I have only heard of her through some YouTuber explaining the story. I thought the cutesy anthro art was supposed to be a gotcha.I didn't know it was that popular, but to be fair, it's quite a good read. What do you mean here? The cover of the first issue shows you how that series is one of those "looks for kids but it's actually not" types, if that's what you mean.I thought the cutesy anthro art was supposed to be a gotcha.
If we are adding crossovers, I need my DC/Cartoon Network crossovers as well. Given Warner owns both, I'm shocked they never thought to do a full series of this. The two already collide frequently outside of comics. If Gunn can get the Green Lantern/Huckleberry Hound or Flash/Speed Buggy or even Aquaman/Jabberjaw crossovers made (and stick to the comic book stories), I'd probably spend the time to pirate them.
The Elmer Fudd/Batman comic is legit one of the best Batman stories I’ve read in years. If Gunn can get the Green Lantern/Huckleberry Hound or Flash/Speed Buggy or even Aquaman/Jabberjaw crossovers made (and stick to the comic book stories), I'd probably spend the time to pirate them.
Jesus, I forgot about that comic. The Elmer Fudd/Batman comic is legit one of the best Batman stories I’ve read in years.

I like Midnight's Edge generally, but they're just plain wrong when it comes to James Gunn and Zaslov.View attachment 8028196View attachment 8028199View attachment 8028202View attachment 8028203View attachment 8028204
Admittedly, it is quite humorous that Sam Strong ultimately appeared as a guest fighter in Mortal Kombat before the fan-favorite suggestion of Dexter Morgan. This development seems to confirm certain expectations.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=zVXihqbDbKchttps://youtube.com/watch?v=peeastGnOlARegarding that matter, Doomcuck, Midnight's Edge, and Yellow Flash appear to have produced similar responses regarding James Gunn's initiatives, ostensibly framing the DC Universe as based, red pilled and not woke, despite the overt references to the Palestine and Israel conflicts.
