Trailer for Aquaman 2 is out. I will be honest, this may be decent even with it looking like generic capeshit, WB keeping Amber Heard as Mera, and the whole movie not mattering at all given the reboot. Kind odd to Arthur already be a father but I guess it's to up the stakes with Black Manta vowing to murder Arthur's family (it's no secret Arthur's will be biting the bullet since Manta will see as payback for his dad dying in the first movie). WB barely showing Mera looks to be their plan to avoid bringing the toxicity of Amber. And given the development between Arthur and Mera was the last installment, it makes sense this one will focus on Arthur and Orm. While it comes off as a rip-off of MCU Thor and Loki, I am curious to see how this plays out.

I know a good black friend of mine who liked it. I have no idea what the hell he saw in it, but he's pretty based so ill assume it was fun. Or maybe he had no idea wtf watchmen was.
 
Currently thumbing thru the One Million omnibus, miss this Grant Morrison. He was already clearly bugfuck , but not to the point of smoking himself into a new gender identity

Nah, he's been a tranny for a very long time, he just used to keep it mostly to himself except occasional mentions in the Invisibles letter page.

Not a ludicrous fan but read bits of it. Given the majority of it were public domain characters not too surprised but was there specific sets of conflict between the author and DC that led to that?

yeah, essentially DC tried to swindle him with a new contract for the 20th anniversary mini he's doing that would forfeit his ownership of the series, along with the fact they allegedly are always late and low with his royalty checks or don't give him what they're supposed to or something. he also said they didn't pay him dick for the telltale game and they flat out told him they thought they owned fables, not him so they've been fucking him out of money for licensed products and the game, and were refusing to show him the script for the second game and he found out they're changing a bunch of established shit or something and because he's pissed off about that and the fact they didn't allow him the creative oversight he should contractually have had on either game, he said fuck it I can't afford to sue dc and win but I'm putting the whole franchise in public domain. they still have publishing rights and shit but only in regards to him anyone else can do shit with fables with whatever companies they want. It sounds like he's just been getting screwed here and there for a few years and decided to cut his losses and publicly say fuck you to them

Ironically enough he's probably going to end up the same way Ditko did - dying alone in a shitty apartment and his dead body only found several days later by accident by one of his neighbors.

Fucking Tom King, I'm not even surprised anymore. I refuse to believe DC isn't being blackmailed by King's ex glowie friends & his mother Hollywood kikes. Because if that's not the case then still keeping this guy after his last massive, borderline bankrupting fuck-up makes DC deserve to bankrupt this time.
