I don’t think Jonah Hex is the worse thing they’ve done. I thought Brolin made for a great Hex. But this movie showed that it did have problems.
Well again, it had a nightmarish production with most people working on it really hating it and even WB butchering it to 80 minutes for a theatrical release and rarely give it any marketing, leaving director Jimmy Hayward (who was fresh off of directing an animated Horton Hears a Who movie from two years prior) to never do another live-action movie ever again.

Brolin was surprisingly great as Jonah Hex, and I really liked John Malkovich and Michael Fassbender's performances as Quentin Turnbull and Burke, respectively. Megan Fox's southern accent in this movie just doesn't do it for me as it felt as like Natalie Portman when she attempts an accent
Never seen Catwoman
It's bad. It's really bad. It also had a troubled production, and everyone hated it, especially Halle Berry who starred in it, publicly accepting the Razzies for her performance in the movie

I recall at a con shortly after Dan Didido took the helm at DC he was on a panel about comic book movies and he told the horror story of a guy he knew who was assigned to be the DC rep on the Catwoman staff, and it was his job to list all the things they were getting wrong, and then they ignored everything he said and had to do it all over again the next day

Warner Bros really doesn't seem to learn anything

I don't know but god this reminds me of WB's dumb "Bat-Embargo" they had in the 2000s
Yeah that was pretty retarded. At least it made some amount of sense in unlimited and allowed for more creativity.

This is just lame. Wasn't everybody pretty happy with the new superman show? I heard it got a lot of good ratings and effects for the beginning at least.

Honestly I feel like it’s a schizo theory but I think WB or Zaslav blames the Flash TV show for the Flash movie bombing given everyone was praising Grant Gustin and raving about the show more than the movie they invested more money in

The best Superman movie of the last 30 years was Disney’s Hercules. You could literally keep and minimally edit the first act, have Lois/ Meg work for Hades/ Luthor, and have Superman/ Hercules save Lois in a way that isn’t purely physical and it would work.

The Hercules movie was literally Disney ripping off Superman by merging Superman with the OG Superman, Hercules.

That was my impression. One of my coworkers is still a big Superman fan, and he felt the series was the best thing they've done from a live action perspective in years outside of Henry Cavill's casting itself.

You ripped this from a Lindsay Ellis video, fucking shameful.

Also Unbreakable is a better superman story than Hercules, supposedly.

I’ve got a random DC question and this seems like the best place to ask. Years ago I read some wiki page for a what-if/elseworlds style story where Luthor or the Luthor family were the good guys. It took place over millennia and long story short Earth eventually becomes Krypton and “Luthor” eventually becomes the suffix “L” with Kal-L as his descendant. I’ve tried looking it up but “Kal-L Superman Luthor” doesn’t really narrow it down from just giving me every Superman page available. Ring any bells for anybody?

sounds like the ending to red son

That’s the one, I misremembered some of the details but that’s it, thanks! It’s been nearly 20 years since I read it but I’m surprised I couldn’t remember it was from Red Son of all things.

No, it’s just very obvious. Especially with Jor El Zeus. She probably had retarded commentary too.
What do you expect from a shitty breatuber like Lindsay Ellis who pretends to act as if she's done research?
Especially when people praise it instead of the movie they put millions of dollars into
They look like shitty Halloween costumes
