Can we talk about which stupid fake car is better too? I have a soft spot for the Forever batmobile with the cutouts and glowing blue lights. :)
Speaking of the Schumacher movies. I might as well give my own hot take.
I didn't really mind the suit design and still don't know why everyone made such a big deal out of the "Nipples" it's obvious the suits were taking inspiration from greek/roman armor. I don't remember the exact term to refer to them, but if you know, then you probably know exactly what I'm referring to.

Also, I loved the design of Robin's suit in Batman and Robin. Probably one of my favorite Robin designs. Yes, you could argue it's just Nightwing but red but fuck it looks good.

Everything from the Schumacher movies was clearly designed with toy sales in mind, the batmobile, the suits, even the sets where big fight scenes happen look like backgrounds for action figure commercials. There’s a scene towards the end of Batman & Robin where the three escape Ivy’s trap and head out to confront Freeze, but not before changing into different batsuits so they can sell another set of figures!

Honestly though I don’t have an issue with it, like @Xenomorphs Are Cute these were my Batman movies as a kid, and while they’re not the best entries they’re still some of my favorites. I’d watch Batman Forever over any of the Nolan trilogy anyday(89 is the best though.)

Just looking at these guys I can’t help but see them surrounded by vacuum formed plastic glued to cardboard

Nightwing but red is the best Nightwing design, so it works here too, including the spiked gauntlets.

Schumacher films basically embraced it's campy nature in the same way as the Adam West version did. Except Schumacher is a raging faggot & we see it from these suits, the man liked his nipples, cod-pieces, & man-ass shots, & it showed.

However, the reason for them being so toy commercial looking was due to McDonald's fucking DC over due the controversy that came after Batman Returns.

This shit right here is what you wanna thank/blame for Schumacher's films.

That said, both Forever & B&R are aesthetically beautiful films to me, equal to Returns, which is my favorite.

Edit: I don't have a kino collage for B&R, but I'd like to include that Forever also gave us these:

Batman Forever was legit a pretty good film. It leaned a bit more on the campy side but it also had to cut out a considerable amount of content focusing on Batman's character arc so the fact that it still manages to be more or less a coherent thing despite that is pretty impressive. Hell, Val Kilmer was a pretty good Batman too. He kinda reminds me of Pattinson's in a sense but less one-note.

And speaking of underrated Batmen, Beware The Batman may have been a "meh" show overall but Anthony Ruivivar fucking killed it in the role as a younger Bruce. It's legitimately a travesty that WB never brought him back again to reprise the role while giving boring hacks like Jason O'Mara gig after gig.

I also liked Forever. It has a lot of flaws, but yea it's a nice balance of 60s Adam West camp and the dark and gritty from both Burton's first movie and TAS (although it almost leans on the former in visual aspects, but the writing still does continue the tradition of its dark nature from the latter two), and Kilmer grew on me as Batman. The production of it was more interesting, especially given that it was originally a Burton before he left production following Returns' reception from the general audience in fears that it was too extreme for children, though he was credited as producer.

On the subject of Batman Forever another rumor I heard was that this song was originally meant to be included in the film in some manner but was rejected. So Steinman ended up re-using it... in a musical about vampires I guess?
Honestly, I wouldn't believe it if I wasn't aware of how often Jim loved to reuse his own music.

Take it with a grain of salt however because just like the supposed Batman musical I can't find much information regarding this. No idea where it came from.
Not a bad song though. But I can't see how it would've been used in the movie besides a credits song or something.

I fucking love the sets for the Burton/Schumacher movies. I loved how much character Gotham had. Fuck, movies in general back then had some killer set design, even in mundane settings, in general compared to a lot of modern movies.

The thing about that era of Batman movies was the fact that it balanced substance with style. The Nolan movies onward had more emphasis on grounded reality, making these movies completely pointless, and Batman is a comic series that needed flair

The Nolan movies were needed. Batman as a brand tanked after B&R outside of animation. Nolan played into the common trend of 2000s super hero films being more grounded as a means to attract general audiences to these often wild and largely laughable comic IPs. As much as we can shit on them, movies like X-Men were very popular and gave their brands a huge popularity boost. Nolan gave Batman a grounded tone that made audiences more willing to take Batman seriously, which vastly payed off come materials such as Arkham Asylum. That game would not have happened without a string of events that came as a direct result of The Dark Knight, and likely would not have sold as much without it.

The problem with Nolan is the long term affects of how his films shaped Batman’s movie appearances. Zack Snyder made Batman into an edgelord and Reeves seemingly took all the wrong lessons from TDK, making a more realistic film that played more into politics and was much more dark. We really need a Batman that functions like Arkham, allowed to have the body count and dark elements largely censored in BTAS, but still willing to embrace the comic book elements.

So someone literally today released a response to an Arkham Knight video that came out 7 years ago, yesterday. No, I'm not joking. I had to do a double take to make sure I was reading the upload date correctly. The fact that people are still coping and trying to claim Knight's story wasn't shit is amazing to me.

WB outright admitted Anime is more profitable and popular than western animation. What's the odds WB will fork out the cash to do an official Superman X Goku crossover now that Akira Toriyama is dead?

It's a shame the "Trivia" section on B&R's IMDB page covers more of the movie's infamy rather than the work that went into the set designs and practical effects (like the statues that were made for the characters who got hit with the freeze ray).

The original Dick Greyson Teen Titans have gone their separate ways, until Damian Wayne recruits Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Kid Flash to join him in a fight against his grandfather Ra’s al Ghul.

I know this isn't confirmed and all, but even then it had just announced and it already makes The CW's Titans look like a work from Hitchcock by comparison
