the best single thing I remember about this script is starfire is described as "orange, and she looks chinese but sexy with huge tits" and tbh I think that retarded nigger has a better grasp on dc comics than the company itself

they like Damian for exactly the reason everyone else things he's an annoying insufferable character. they think the Snyder movies are the greatest superhero movies ever made

bro these the movies everyone wants superman to be like? this shit pussy bro superman gave up his powers for a BITCH? hell naw Zod shoulda killed that fag boy.

This dude was writing a nightwing movie in a notebook and he was like this is gonna take us places and it was the single funniest story I've ever read. Essentially it was a hood ass dudes self insert fan fiction that was Nightwing basically one upping Batman in every way taking out every major villain on his own time and banging every female dc character you've ever heard of. it was amazing. the only specific line I remember is poison ivy was trying to get Nightwing to stay with her and he said "I'm sorry, but I got a fine ass alien princess waiting for me at home and I've spent too long here with you thanks for the help maybe ill stay over next time" I'm not making this up it was glorious.

"was she a woman, or a plant? I don't know. Can he even fuck her? Does she have a pussy or a flower bulb? But she's gorgeous and its not just her pheromones talking"

I actually forgot the funniest part of that story thinking about it for the first time in years made me remember that there was a scene where Batgirl and Nightwing are in the hood and essentially Barbara is scared and Dick is like don't worry baby we'll be fine and all the hood niggas are like NIGHTWING MY BOY COME ON IN and they go into a trap house and everyone just openly gives him information for no reason because apparently the hood is down with nightwing and snitches get stitches unless dick Grayson is who you're snitching to.

oh shit this is just you, you want to be Batman's son who's way cooler and fucks every superhero or super villain girl in the dc universe lol I'd sell my soul to see this movie made with him as the star because removed from any of this he's unintentionally a hilarious guy and it would be so much better to see a movie where some retarded chief keef worshipping nigga is nightwing who gets ALL the pussy in the dc universe and keeps his dad in check because that pussy boy can't even keep Joker in Arkham asylum for a week when dick grayson can without effort take down every villain ever and still have time to dick down his alien gf graphically as the final scene of the movie

"orange, and she looks chinese but sexy with huge tits"
>SnyderSneeder.
>Calls out Reevesman on the things even Reeves once called his role out for.
>Makes Nightwing a giga-chad that he deserves to be.
>Makes him loyally breed his giga-stacy alien waifu instead of the bland cripple whore who fucked his father once.
>Realises that Red Hood is right & BTFO's BatSHIT for keeping JoKEK alive despite everything.
>Asks the same questions about Poison Ivy's pussy that I did as a kid.
>Has yellow fever for thicc Asian women, but the alien variant of it.

Remove the black-washing & you have the perfect Nightwing story honestly. Hell, even with the black-wash it's not that bad, possibly the best Nightwing story in decades.

DC hire this man, he should be the fucking CEO. Our nigger understands DC better than the people running DC rn. I don't know about anyone else, but he has my support for it:

Jokes aside, I seriously think he'll be an objective & unironic upgrade compared to what we're getting:

Chip Zdaesky confirm Batman bisexual.

@Xenomorphs Are Cute besides the fact these guys are legitimately some of my best friends, helped me move, are always offering to buy shit before they come over for me to grill or buy beer or whatever, they're stupid fun to see the movies with. My woman can't stand them though lmfao.

Dc and Marvel both are always blackwashing shit or trying to pander to a white liberal woman's image of black people, and I'd much rather DC just pandered to actual niggas.

I don't know what you'd call it but I'd buy every fucking issue if they did an imprint where they hired street negroes and let them do their thing with the characters. It'd probably not be good but it'd be a lot of fun.

It would have good inventive fight scenes because that's all they really think about, no hero deconstruction they'd all just be extra badass and manly, and none of the homo shit invading the comics world would exist because nobody on the planet is more aggressively homophobic than black men.

And there also is something inherently funny knowing they'd get a script where Batgirl thinks to herself "I know Dick loves Starfire but his dick is SO HUGE" and Nightwing think to himself "I love my pops, his heart is in the right place and Batman has really helped the city, but Joker is a faggot and MUST be truly stopped and dad doesn't have the balls to end his reign of terror"

I guess what I'm saying is I'm sick of superhero comics being filled with bisexual liberals self insert fan fiction but I would 100% read a true and honest nigger's self insert fan fiction religiously every month. turning any superhero's mantra into fuck bitches get money would lead to some full Kino in comics.

I have literally hundreds of funny stories about these dudes relating to superhero shit because they're good friends of mine but we have absolutely nothing in common besides we like superhero shit, big assed Latina women and substance abuse.

I wish I had pictures because every dc and Marvel movie we squad up to go see it and its me, my friends from High school who are also white dudes, and my personal squad of loud angry niggers who sexually harass every teenage white girl at the popcorn stand and get viscerally mad at the movie nonstop for anything even sort of gay and celebrate like they personally got a shoutout in the movie when Batman or whoever actually kicks some ass.

Just got done watching part one of Crisis on Infinite Earths.

I hated it only slightly less than I hated the comics. Seriously, of all stories to adapt to film why the fuck would anyone want to adapt this one?

Personally I love the comic, it's an insane who's who of DC comics that has hilarious scenes like Uncle Sam leading the change fighting an intergalactic war. that's amazing.

however that said, any adaptation is guaranteed to suck. Because it doesn't have a good story really no matter how you shake it. Just because I like the comic there really isn't anything to it to even make any sense to adapt. It was a huge band aid on the multiverse problem and there wasn't any thought beyond that.

I saw the movie with my favorite band of niggers and I thought it sucked because the story is just flat out uninteresting and most of them hated it because they made super girl the protagonist and niggas can't stand women's POV in anything and they watch this shit just to see manly shit and the movie doesn't do that at all. Honestly if they had just done the comic and had insane shit like uncle Sam fist fighting demons the hood might have liked the movie.

Game recognizes game, I appreciate the appreciation. Also, I called him nigger in a good sport, I can't be derogatory to someone this based even if I tried.

They had a few Raven themed YA novels
Ah, the Teen Titan YA graphic novels that are basically entirely carried by the artist. It's one book per team member being introduced (Raven, Beastboy, Dick/Damian and I think Starfire's next) and it's the most fanfiction Mundane AU bullshit right down to there being an extra OC possible-self-insert who Damian crushes on and every superhero element is filed down to a more 'grounded' take. It's the type of cringe that's almost kind of endearing.
I don't mind Damian, but I hate how they are starting with him. If nothing else, I will probably see this film with the sister. She loves the little brat.
I don't dislike Damian, but the only time I ever found him interesting is when he was Dick Grayson's Robin and they had an inverted Batman-and-Robin dynamic.

I have never related so much to a man I've never met.

I loved the movie but it makes Batman look like a complete retard.
there is a good video essay on it but yeah, it was like DC made a film in response to the whole joker fandom. the hero of the story is the black woman mayor who's the only clean politician and all the white dudes are stupid and incompetent. the villian is a 4channer and bruce is another useless white male who's arc is realizing the wrong kind of people are looking up to him.
niggas LOVE dc and love those animated movies.
its hilarious you bring this up considering the black lead in Ingrid Goes West is just a hood dude who loves batman, and thats literally his entire character. Meaning this stereotype is so well known that even people in hollywood in major films know about it.

I really like that stuff too, I just think he's not been interesting almost a single time since then. I also liked him in the super sons comics, (the movie too once I got over the fucking DISGUSTING puke inducing and downright offensive animation lol) but Bendis fucking Jon Kent over by aging him up a decade and the fact they gayed him up right after makes it so since, and going forward seeing them together weirds me out. they sort of have the same dynamic but its fucking weird for an adult Jon Kent's #1 confidant and best friend to be a 7th grader. Even if he was raised by immortal assassins then Batman.

yeah I caught all of this in the movie too, I think it didn't totally ruin it for me because it at least didn't feel shoved in at the last second. Not the take or message I'd make, but it felt like they wrote the script around it and it wasn't producers notes. I don't think a basic Batman vs Bad guy plot needs to be so overly politicized with the current world and liberal retard values, but at least the movie focuses on Batman walking around doing things (albeit incompetently) and that shit has very little actual screen time. It's the overall point but it doesn't hold you down and beat you with it besides a couple of catwoman's lines of dialogue.

this rules. the first time I became aware of it as a phenomenon outside of just the people I work with and hang out around my area with, was I saw a video of a drill rapper streaming a tour of his mansion or maybe he was just walking around I don't remember, but he was talking about how he moved like 10 of his friends out the block and in with him or near him so they're always around and wandering through some room there was 5 of them getting buck smoking watching something and it was dark knight returns part II you could hear it in the background.

I saw a similar video where another rapper had a decked out Spider-Man themed bedroom with those giant $2000 statues and other assorted memorabilia and realized oh THEY'RE ALL like this.

oh THEY'RE ALL like this
i mean thats blacks in general. most never move beyond being a teenager, they're the original manchildren.

From being so criminal to being loud and obnoxious to being obsessed with pop culture and "nerdy" stuff. Randy in scream was considered a weirdo for noticing tropes in horror films meanwhile Quintin Tarentino talks about going on hours long conversations with his mom's black boyfriends about movies as a kid.

every black person in their 20s i know can name way more songs or movies from their great-grandparents day than any white person in their 20s or even 30s, and its not even considered weird. Its a cultural osmosis from cookouts and family but also just having the freetime to watch this shit.

you can even watch the oldest cribs episodes and they're still comic book obsessed. if anything you're the weirdo

I did a playtest focus group for a video game recently where they seemed to be specifically looking for men in their 30’s and there were a couple black dudes in it. I must have ptsd from public schools or something because the way the people running the playtest had to constantly babysit them and loudly reiterate simple instructions for everyone because they weren’t listening and fucking around had me grinding my teeth. I’d remembered hating school because 2/3rds of the day was teachers repeating themselves for the dumb kids, to have to deal with that from/as an adult was wild.

The teaser for Joker 2 is out and it just doesn't hit the same way the first one did.

I feel like instead of trying for Taxi Driver like the first one they're going for Natural Born Killers this time
normally I would just shit on it and not care, but Joker 1 did well beyond what I expected enough that I'll give this a chance for now

Think they missed a good chance to do a One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest homage with the sequel.

This just looks like pap. Gaga has no edge, gravitas or charisma. Joker shouldn't be happy unless they plan to take it away from him, which they won't, because it's Gaga.

Maybe I'll be surprised like I was with the first one (I didn't buy into any of the hype, and when I eventually saw it i was shocked at how much I enjoyed it. Wolf of Wall Street is just about the only other movie that surprised me by actually being enjoyable). Who knows.

The only sure thing is I'm not paying to see it, but I'm so far out of the target demo, my money is irrelevant anyway.

Should add to the movie discussion as Supergirl recently got a director in Craig Gillespie, who last did the Cruella movie.

I hold very little hope for this film knowing the director's previous work. I am guessing either the budget is too low to get good directors or Gunn is propping himself up by having everyone else be terrible.

https://www.motionpictures.org/2024...s been tapped,a family connection to Superman.
Milly Alcock’s Supergirl is going to take flight with the man behind I, Tonya and Cruella.

Craig Gillespie has been tapped to direct Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which will star Alcock as Kara Zor-El, a Kryptonian with immense powers and a family connection to Superman. Gillespie will direct from a script by Ana Nogueira in a story that will be at least partially based on the comic series by Tom King and Bilquis Evely. King and Evely’s version of Supergirl is a young woman who steps out of the shadow of her iconic cousin, Superman and boasts a personality more in keeping with a young woman who has seen her family and friends suffer firsthand. Kara Zor-El witnessed the destruction of her home planet and had to grow up in its ruins. As Gunn said on Twitter when he and Safran announced the initial slate for their upcoming films and TV series, Supergirl’s childhood was vastly different from what Superman experienced in many ways: “Superman is a guy sent to Earth and raised by loving parents, where Supergirl in this story, she is a character raised on a chunk of Krypton,” Gunn explained on Twitter. “She watched everybody around her perish in some terrible way, so she’s a much more jaded character.”

Gillespie knows a thing or two about centering powerful, pugnacious women— with I, Tonya he unleashed an inspired Margot Robbie as iconic skating villain Tonya Harding, and in Cruella, he delivered the origin story of the iconic Disney villain with Emma Stone in the title role. His last film, Dumb Money, was a whip-smart retelling of the Game Stop madness that struck Wall Street.

Gillespie joins a growing roster of talented directors set to helm films for DC Studios. It will begin with James Gunn himself, who is currently working on Superman, and includes Andy Muschietti, who will direct the Batman reboot The Brave and the Bold. Gillespie’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow joins those films as part of Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters, the initial slate of DC’s offerings under the leadership of Gunn and Peter Safran.

As for Supergirl herself, Milly Alcock, Gunn revealed on Threads that he has been a big fan of hers from even before she auditioned, thanks in large part to her fantastic performance in HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon:

“In case you missed this exciting news yesterday. Strangely, Milly was the FIRST person I brought up to Peter for this role, well over a year ago, when I had only read the comics. I was watching House of the Dragon & thought she might have the edge, grace & authenticity we needed for the DCU’s Supergirl. And now here we are. Life is wild sometimes.”

Alcock played Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon, the daughter of King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine) and the person he eventually promises the Iron Throne to. If you’ve ever watched Game of Thrones, you know what a death sentence the Throne can be. Yet Princess Rhaenyra becomes one of the prime movers of House Targaryen (she’s played by Emma D’Arcy after a considerable time jump), a strong-willed, doubt-her-at-your-peril force within Westeros who will not allow herself to be bulldozed for the Throne, or for any other reason, by the many schemers around her. Alcock won raves for her performance from critics, fans, and James Gunn himself.
