Because firstly, how the hell could a trans voice actor be asked to do both male and female voices for a single character in a horror game and NOT know what the likely outcome of that was going to be? So obviously the voice actor is lying and just trying to turn the situation to their own advantage.

And whomever at the developer that made this character HAD to know what they were doing and how it was going to look, didn't they? So was this a case of gross stupidity or did some employees actively try to sabotage their woke employer?

And the inevitable reaction of the social justice warriors proves how the entire thing is just a scam to score political points. A woke company that regularly engages in rainbow capitalism was beloved by their fans, until one day they got #canceled for doing the very thing everyone was demanding all along. The cycle cannibalizes it's own people as soon as it determines there is more to be gained from their sacrifice than their contribution.

Harry Potter, Doritos, Bud Light, horror games... it all just shows how the far-left can't keep the deception going forever. It was easy for the activists of the early 2000s to say they just wanted "equality" because they "loved" each other. As a big horror fan, I can assure you the hobby has always been a massive gathering place for people who get off on being off-putting freaks. Troonery is just the latest flavor of people coming into the space and making everything about them.

I actually think stories like this, ironically, lead to censorship. Look at the situation:

White guy voices a character, plays a character, or a white guy character is featured in media?

He could be the good guy, he could be an irredeemable asshat, he could be anyone. It doesn't matter, and no matter what, people won't read too deep into it. This isn't some grand political statement about white men, it's just another character in a story, and we appreciate what they brought to the table, whether we loved the character or enjoyed hating them. A benefit of how carefree audiences are about the treatment of white dudes is that they have the benefit of being capable of being the comic relief, of being the multi-layered character that's super interesting, or of being the flawed anti-hero that audiences love.

Any minority group voices a character, plays a character, or a character is featured in media?

The moment there's any character flaw or the character isn't a flawless, perfect Mary Sue, some idiot is flipping out and interpreting this to mean the dev is attempting to make a statement about the entire minority group, and that the qualities of that character are intended to reflect the entire group. Devs and creators are then scared shitless of including these minorities, so they go one of two routes:

1) The minorities becoming Mary Sue characters without flaw, people fucking hate these asshats. The media simply fails to sell and audiences pan the product entirely, because it's so fucking boring to watch a show that just repeatedly goes "and wouldn't you know it, the black woman proved how amazing she was YET AGAIN and did absolutely nothing wrong and never had to show any degree of personal growth whatsoever because she's already more perfect than God!" Turns out, character flaws make for engaging and interesting characters, so denying the minorities of this is actually crippling their storylines.

2) Companies nope the fuck out of that dumpster fire and stop including minorities entirely. Good fucking job, asshats. You killed Aunt Jemima. Now none of us have our beloved racial minority pancake aunt because her being black is racist somehow. Now she's dead. RACISM SOLVED!

The irony when our own hypersensitivity towards minority groups is precisely why we have so few likeable minority characters relative to the white dudes...
