Deadlock - An FPS MOBA by Valve.

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
I think there is some sort of punishment already. When someone does leave you get a message in a green box in the top right of the screen saying you can leave. Something about score I think. So if you're good enough you can just out rank people who disconnect.
The new map is a bit awkward, but the 3-lane concept is really good. I ended up uninstalling again because the playerbase has way too many bitches still. Almost every game essentially ends when one guy gets asshurt and just leaves. I had a game, in which we were WINNING, that turned into a lost because of someone leaving mid-game (Magician 0/8 K/D that could have easily recovered late game). Its worse since there are fags who unironically gloat about just barely winning a 6v5.

There either needs to be extremely harsh punishments on fags who rage quite, or allow an AI to take over for any bitches.
Actually, here you go.

I came back to Deadlock after a few months, and I finally tried new map.
I still love this game, even when I get stomped, the lanning phase is enjoyable enough to salvage any miserable mid game.
After 8 matches, I think I prefer the old 4 lanes design. I love a lot of the new additions to the map, the new verticality is great. But I think 3 lanes leads to a lot more down time.
It's probably just a low level pub issue, but I felt like 4 lanes allowed for a lot more split pushing and small fights, while this 3 lane map ends up being a lot more about larger fights, and when you are not fighting, you are farming waiting for the enemy or your team to do something. It can get really annoying when the enemy has the upper hand but doesn't want to fucking push.

Hopefully they can bring back the 4 lanes even if as a second map.

I disagree and feel three lanes and a smaller map feels better. I enjoy being able to actually rotate lanes without the enemy wraith being able to 100 to 0 a tower because she was left alone with it for one creep wave.
Also three lanes resolves the advantages and disadvantages certain characters have with certain matchups. It gives more pick flexibility.

Icefrog/Yoshi/Abdul Ismail has the perfect engineer/game designer career pretty much. Gigachad.
>Took over development of a popular multiplayer mod and made it even more popular
>Got backstabbed by Blizzard, instead made a deal with Valve
>Years later, gained enough power inside the company to lead an entire big new project
>Has all the perfect conditions to make a successful game
Also, the reason the development is slow right now is because Valve is currently all hands on deck mode finishing HL3. Orders from Gabe himself.

Deadlock feels like a 2010s game that came out at the wrong time. The kind of game you put 100% of your game time into and only ever talk and watch streams about. But it's been around for too long without being released that it has died a silent death, especially with Rivals replacing it.

Who thought that putting the two most annoying skills, a hook and a timed nuke, on the same character was a good idea
The only annoying thing about the character is that you'll have to either spend 3000 on metal skin or 4250 on debuff remover. Hell, if it's convenient for your character, you can even just go with ethereal shift and kill 2 birds with one stone.

I agree with debuff remover, but it becomes useless if Bebop is the only one you're buying it for and if he's fed/competent enough, because he'll just put the bombs on himself and go in melee range or do a drive by if his movement is good, which has happened to me more times than not. With metal skin/ethereal shift depends if your character can afford to slow his build and still be useful in fights early on. I play Haze/Vyper/Shiv, if I'm not positioned well enough, I'll get run down/hooked anyways or, best case scenario, I lose half HP from bombs and can't fight properly, so why should I spend 3k souls on defensive items early on?

I only buy debuff remover or ethereal shift if that Bebop is buying Echo Shard, that's when I see the Bebop as a problem. Hook characters will always be annoying in any video game, I wish they'd make it to where Bebop can take 25% damage from his own bombs or something. He's so annoying!

One thing a lot of people don't think about when laning against Bebop is how far up they are playing. Pushing up and letting him play under tower is right where he wants to be.

I believe it is almost always better to get your core build before buying counter items. Unless they are dirt cheap like stamina against Warden.
