I have to wonder how much it costs. They also have writers, animators, researchers, composers, and editors to pay. At the same time, maybe all it takes to get removed from the Off-Topic boards and onto the big stage(s) is a good old-fashioned grift.

Animators are the big one, I find it hard to imagine they can't write "hey let's fight" and need to pay someone for that. Same with research, you can be a pro on any character just using Google.

I checked out of Death Battle quite a while ago, but i am happy for them that they own it. I am happy for most of the old screwattack crew... except Destin, Destin has become such a garbage shill.

I sincerely hope you appreciate how difficult it is for people to not bombard your post with puzzle pieces. Not because of anything you said, but by virtue of the sheer density of powerlevel autism.

Out of all the ones you posted, I think I found entertaining only the Frieza vs Megatron one.
And not gonna lie, Most of those pairing are quite ass as well, though I'm sure they'll eventually shit out something like Luffy vs Naruto, but most probably it will be a case of too little, too late at this point.

I feel like Luffy vs Naruto may be the only fight that can reach the levels of Goku vs Superman.

Well not by the current team who have expectations of x and y and its a product they produce for money and not a passion project.

People with something to prove could be able to produce 4 episodes of quality matching the previous season with crowdfunding and a good amount of time.

Whats likely to happen is the alumni are gonna get offered checks based on order of how much they are liked. Bets on everything getting derailed when a dei hire complains they werenr invited back?

Feel free to call me a filthy weeb but the gear 5 hype has faded and naruto has gone a downright spiral in quality ever since... I'd personally say the gay edgelord's brother died, but less unforgiving people will point out at the final war being fucking terrible.
If that episode were to happen, people will come to watch it and see naruto gets destroyed, not getting the desired result because boruto shit is inserted in the power scale, get mad as result and ignore the next entries.
I personally call it short term earning.
