Also if Hulk can just keep coming back...how did he lose to Broly?

In the broly match hulk lost because they argued he has a limit to his regeneration.

That was made before the Immortal Hulk comic finished, and much like the title implies, in that comic Hulk is retconed to be an immortal avatar of the "The One Below All" aka a superdevil of the "green door dimension" who can match the one above all (creator of all marvel). He has infinite regeneration/respawn from nothing in a way that is explicitly impossible. He can see ghosts and "smell lies" too.

So yeah, Hulk is magic now and literally cannot die. Battleboarders hate him. Comics are silly.

The strongest Godzillas scale high above most of those guys, honestly. And I think it's not just nuclear mutants, but nuclear monsters.
Most versions of Godzilla, specifically those featured in the films, cap at destroying cities. Death Battle wanked the shit out of him by claiming he was lightspeed and all that other bullshit. Then they used Godzilla Ultima to get to their usual retarded debate of how many universes these characters can destroy.

Oh, I wasn't aware how new the Green Door was. Frankly, I think characters that can just keep coming back to life shouldn't be in Death Battle or at least have that aspect included. Godzilla regenerates, but Hulk was dead dead. Literally sent to Hell dead. If there's a hard limit to the lives a character has, that's all good, of course.

Not sure if this is “if I had to see this, so do you. Sorry I don’t make the rules here”, but…I have no idea what to say.

TIL there’s a whole Death Battle community thing on Twitter.

Phoenix vs Raven did this but with soul stuff.

Light vs Walter died for this meme slop.
Redditors want light vs Columbo solely so it could be Columbo dunking on him like it's some bad Saturday morning cartoon. It's only redeemable if it ends up in a huge upset. After omni man vs homelander, way too many people just want blatantly spite matches out of nowhere. It's like seriously clamoring for something like hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby.

Couldn’t you argue that the actual ending of Death Note was that very same dunking on Light Yagami, to the point of shitting on his entire worldview? With Ryuk killing him for extra karma?
The manga, yes. The anime? More of a tragic ending but he still lost. The creator specifically wanted light to lose so his worldview could also "lose" alongside it. In Western terms, that would be the equivalent of trying to shit on chuds for liking the wrong message of the movie/game, but easterners do it much better. Same thing happened to Eren Yeager of attack on Titan.

That was just flat out bad analysis and results using a dumb gameplay mechanic to justify surviving ANTI MATTER.
With that logic, Master Chief just has to keep reapplying his Overshield to become invincible to anything.

>um aksually my onion has more layers
What a dumb way to make a result.
Pretty sure Godzilla Ultima would just destroy the universe before that, so how exactly does Banner do anything again?
The black boxes mentioned this. All Godzilla comic crossover stuff is in hypertime unless directly stated otherwise. Meaning that it ain't canon to the mainline so it so don't count.
Sounds like cope.

I think a more interesting match up would be Kira vs Heisenberg.

I’m sure a lot of people think that. Although I’m not sure how you could pull that off.

As for Light vs Columbo, I think a way to pull it off would be to have it be like an episode of the show Columbo rather than A. How they went about setting up Macho Man Randy Savage vs The Kool-Aid Man or B. Having Wiz and Boomstick be in something like a Death Note fanfiction. And above all else, please don’t try to do some moral grandstanding or philosophical debate about the morality of Light’s actions or the Death Note itself.

I don't get why people have such a problem with the Columbo/Light episode. It's just a gag episode based off a meme situation and the fact that Columbo has no actual canonical first name.

Probably because of what @umseriously said: it’s just seen an excuse to shit on Light Yagami and his worldview, which is also what Near did in the warehouse.

Also, there’s a nonzero chance that the episode would come across as somebody’s Death Note fanfiction, where another fictional detective tries to solve the Kira case, and I guess that doesn’t really interest a lot of people.

Or it could be a simple idea that the battle of wits that Death Note is, along with the murder mystery howcatchem format of Columbo isn’t a good fit for Death Battle.
