Debate @MAAAD about how niggerish it is to wash your meat before cooking

Even well done is fine. You get a nice crust and it's not too dry.

Rare can be chewy and the crust is not good enough

Also the quality of the meat depends where you live.

In the third world, meat can really look bad, oxidized and slimmy.
Clean looking shinny meat is really an occidental thing.
With chicken it's really noticeable.

Then what's even the point? The water isn't going to wash the bacteria off of them.
It's the water that washes away the bacteria, the soap used when you wash your hands is to remove skin oils and loosen any contaminants so that the water can remove them more effectively. It's the oils and pores that make it harder to clean skin vs. a hard surface or plant.

Fruits and vegetables usually don't have a peel or rind that can trap bacteria like that so water removes it no problem. You may have to scrub them to remove dirt.

Doesn't the soap kill bacteria as well due to its alkaline nature?
TIL
I almost feel bad for the bully, now.
Don't, I'm not African or some shit. Our chicken is of a really good quality.

The process of making it reduces the alkalinity to pretty close to neutral PH. It does help a bit by making the skin drier though, but it's the nature of skin itself that makes it so good a habitat for bacteria.

All I will say on washing raw meat is if you're going to do so, do it in a deep utility sink away from any food preparation surfaces. I don't recommend it unless there is visible contamination but if you're going to do so, that's the safest way. Obviously this excludes things that do need to be rinsed off like scallops.

I only wash meat if there is the need too remove stray fur or bits of feather from wild game or farm fowl if I am doing to the processing myself. If any meat gets tainted by a ruptured gut or scent glad, I dont cook that part.

Excuse me knowing Russians eat shitty steaks makes me want to go watch drone videos on r/ukrainewarreport Slava Ukrana or whatever.

Don't you taste the fucking soap when you wash an apple like that?! Maybe i got sensitive tastebuds but i get mad already when someone didn't rinse the lather off plates well enough. Ruins any food.
I don't because I properly wash my apples to make sure no leftover soap remains on them. Just lick the skin before taking a bite if you're unsure, if it tastes like soap then rinse it some more. I also enjoy the faint scent of soap on the apple after I properly wash it, combined with the natural apple smell it really whets the appetite.
@MAAAD Do you rinse off your bacon?
No.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm doing. My kitchen sink is very deep and the oven stands between it and my usual food prep area. That's why I didn't die of chicken AIDS yet lol.

We reached a mutually agreeable position in two posts sparing seven pages of further argument.

I'm truly the Farms' King Solomon.

I think i'm good, dude. You should really look into that germaphobe thing other Farmers already mentioned.

Yeah, that's a completely different and the most sensible thing to do when you do the butchering/preparation yourself. No one would look at you like you are a crazy person like i am sure they would look at a dude who washes apples with soap.

Men eat meat, women eat carbonized slop. Oh and for all your germaphobe qualities you still have germs on you. And mites in your eyebrows. Every second of every day. It’s all germs baby. Also there’s bug guts in your food. Rats too.

Men eat finely cooked meals, savages eat over/undercooked unedible junk. Get over it.
