Never said incest is an orientation. But the "arguments" people in that thread were using could be applied to anything enough people in society think is gross, and that includes gay sex.
I don't think the concept of family is at risk taking into account this would be very rare tho I agree incest could harm certain families. But I also think it's all about how they go about it and the problems that could arise would be more related to infidelity or abuse than to incest itself.

I was. Incested at the age thirteen or so, up until may sixteen. It never went as far as chris did, but it 100% did fuck up my perceptions. A lot of the fault is on me, but the point still stands. It can and will fuck things up

Incest needs to stay illegal, and I don't need to justify that position.

That said, those views on consent aren't wrong in themselves when applied to two unrelated adults. If someone 18+ consents and isn't retarded, it's not rape.

You think it would be rare because its rare right now, it would stop being rare once people no longer have a reason to not do it.

I kind of missed it in the hubbub of the thread, but you're one of those faggots who thinks there are no biological ramifications to incest aren't you? And that's not even getting started on all the psychological damages an incestuous relationship can cause. There are tried and tested reasons why the word itself has negative connotations to it, even when used outside the context of fucking your own family members.

The fact that it refers to all people who have engaged in incest as "victims" already shows the bias of the article. It seems to put incest and abuse in the same bag as if they always went together or at least focuses in those cases in particular in which the incest happens between two people at an age where there is an imbalance of power.
Who is the victim when both people are adults? Specially if they are siblings and not parent and child.
Incest is only harmful in the cases in the cases where there is abuse and there are already laws against pederasty to solve that problem.
