Arguably the social abhorrence stems from people having an inherent dislike of incest, which in turn is because of the biological danger i.e. tard babies are bad, so humanity developed an instinct dislike of incest (since those who thought incest was cool make tard babies and those babies died out long with their pro-incest genes), and society models itself (or at least use to) around the biological realities and so implements social norms and legal measures against such behaviour to cater for individual edge cases such as people who are lacking that instinctive dislike (so retard and screw ups).
So I'm not really disagreeing with you, just the wording that seems to treat them as two separate things when I believe them to be linked.

This sounds like abuse then. I think people shouldn't conflate the idea of incest with the idea of abuse tho. Your experience is not a proof that incest is bad, same way rape isnt a sign that sex in general is bad.
The dabate is about consenting people, specifically adults like in the case of Chris and Barb.
