That's the main problem because the ugly people are the main people who drive society. Most tech is made up by uglies just like most high earning white collar jobs because uglies are left alone all day to their own devices. Cosmetic surgeries cannot fix your face completely. You can change it to some degree but it won't help. Dating now is a zero sum game where women will always date up and when they get a taste of that life they will never date down.
It will help unless you're irreparably disfigured (off the scale, 0/10), even if you just get bumped up from a 1/10 to a 2/10 then you instantly increased your dating pool. Now the 1/10 women will date up to you if you lowered your standards appropriately, and you can possibly snag a 2/10.
Your face is made up of 3 thirds. If you are ugly that means one of your thirds is out of position. So lets say you fix your jaw that still doesn't mean that my upper third or mid third will be in harmony with the rest of my face. I can fix that in theory but at some point you will be getting so many surgeries it will look obvious you had work done and you will end up looking like a bogandoff twin.
