There is something perverse about attempting to fix what amounts to the website's containment section by essentially adding a containment section to it.

One thing, I could foresee the mass debate section potentially becoming a slight issue, since you'll get people who will be like "This person disagreed with me or said something that made me angry, I'll own them by taking their posts and putting it in the mass debate section for people to dogpile them", like the kiwi version of a Tumblr callout post, or like a halal that circumvents approval.

Although I applaud the return of the full range of stickers, especially in Deep Thoughts. I think setting out with the expectation of civility will help people be less mad. If people start off with the idea that discourse in the area is supposed to be toxic and antagonistic, it risks becoming a self fulfilling prophecy.

Nah, I think the megathread still fits in Articles and News, as it serves as a big content aggregation thread for articles and events relating to the Biden administration, and discussion and shitposting for said articles and events.
