I really wish you would define your terms on how rural these things need to be, because as it is every time somebody provides a real example you just holler "no city slicker, it needs to be a smaller town".
See above. Whenever people correct me they indicate they live in a city of 30,000+ people that has pretentious organic stores offering what is the baseline level of standards expected in even former SFRY.

I make my own bread, sorry lil bro
Honestly this is my answer too. Way fuckin cheaper and when you get the technique down you can churn out industrial quantities of sourdough with barely any effort

Cheese is another animal tho as home making anything but the most basic shit requires a dumpster of specialised equipment

yes if you live in a city of 30,000 people or more you will have access to bougie organic stores. Every shithole town in Serbia has cheese, meat, and bread all super local. The average American does not eat at a quality level similar to people in any place in Europe.
You're moving goalposts. Your first argument is that Americans cannot source quality food, period. Now its just that the average American diet is lower quality than the average European. Now I don't really have any disagreement with that second statement, but that's not what you started with.

I live close to the Amish and get most of our stuff from them - if there's bread in this house, it's cause I made it, and not from fuckin bleached flour neither.
No. You cannot get wholesome food here with any ease, and it's a goddamn disgrace.

If I put a gun to your head and told you to find a man selling steak that knew which farm it came off of, you would die.

Wisconsin exists. So there's cheese. Granted, Floridians don't have access to it (thank you, White Jesus).

Yes, butchers get their meat from packing plants and don't slaughter the cow on site. What's your point? Not every butcher is also a slaughterhouse, and most cattle lands have a packing plant within driving distance.

I know my ribeye loins usually come from Iowa meat packing plants and they come with a reliable standard in their grading; as well as other quality measures like packed on dates, and guaranteed freshness dates. That's real meat and it's a far sight better than most of the world has access to.

Didn't know about the bread because here pretty much every supermarket offers fresh bread they bake in-store, kind of thought it would be the same there. Not saying the quality is as good as the local baker but it sure as shit better than the predone stuff.

One thing you forgot about the cheese is cheese-flavored slices, they can't legally be called cheese because of how little real cheese they have, so are always called something like cheese-flavored slices or kraft singles.

The FDA calls it “pasteurized processed American cheese food.” In order for a food product to be a true “cheese,” it has to be more than half cheese, which is technically pressed curds of milk. So each Kraft American single contains less than 51% curds, which means it doesn’t meet the FDA’s standard.

American chocolate is some of the worst I've had, not sure how the big makes in America can be that bad, the only chocolate I've had worse is super cheap no-name brands from other countries.

If you ever have the chance to try haloumi cheese, do so.

I can buy local meat from just about any farmer nearby, You can sponsor cattle/poultry/pigs and then pay the butchering fees or do it yourself.

Bread, I have a bread machine

Cheese is a little trickier. I'm sure I could find stuff locally or learn to make it but to be honest I don't give much of a shit about it and barely eat dairy.

Mark my words: this thread will end in everyone doxing themselves over cheese.
I didn't take the bait, but I didn't tell any lies either. I can eat damn good in my town. My favorite local bakery and meat market in particular are gems and I will not stand for this fucking snooty borsch boy besmirching them from his hovel in the Balkans.

I live in very rural Texas and there is no grocery store near me but my nearest options are Walmart, brookshire brothers and HEB. HEB is without a doubt the best one and can be found both in and out of cities. HEB's almost always have a real butchery, a real deli counter, a real bakery and a fish and cheese area with many options. I get cotija, parmesan and gorgonzola fairly often and right now I have some nice havarti in my fridge. I also tend to buy lots of fresh vegetables like beets and parsnips and brussel sprouts. Aldi also usually has an ok cheese selection if smaller and sometimes has good deals.

The problem with buying "local" cheese and dairies is that there are no creameries or dairy farms anywhere near here, because a lot of the south is too hot to do it efficiently. Most of the cattle In Texas are meat cattle. As far as bread goes even Walmarts tend to have a bakery section where you can buy real loves without all the preservatives, they usually aren't fancy sourdough but it's real unprocessed white bread.

I will admit I like European style butter quite a bit and I will shill out the extra money for something like Kerrygold.

I keep kosher and all my shit is fresh lol. My chicken is slaughtered in the tristate area and delivered right to my supermarket. Same with most beef. I don't eat cheese so can't talk about that. Regarding baked goods, my wife just bakes a few loaves of bread once a week and we use it through the week.
