Debate user 'Null' if America has Cheese, Meat, and Bread.

I haven't seen a single american talk about fresh cheese. Have you never had fresh, white, soft cheese? It also gets hard if you age it, usually just in brine? I usually see some variation of a yellow compressed cheese, cheddar type of thing
You mean cheese curds. Yeah, they're delicious, yeah, they're hard to find. Probably no easier to get them in whatever Null's current home is, though.

My favorite regional grocery store offers a wide selection of fresh cheeses and olives. They make bread on the daily (and there’s bread machines for a reason anyways, that take less than a day to make fresh bread.) There’s also a farmer’s market here in the spring and summer that has fresh bread and home made cheeses available.

There are farmers and ranchers around that will sell meat under the table.

Also, hunters and fishermen. I grew up off of catfish that came straight out of the water. Unregistered venison sausage is a Christmas classic for me. I have pounds of raw alligator that I killed last month, sitting in my freezer.

People are insisting to me Americans in podunk towns with fewer than 1000 people you can still get cheeses of wide variety similar to region-controlled European cheeses. You can get locally slaughtered meat you know for sure came from a specific farm. You can get bread baked that fucking day in more than 2 styles. You're totally wrong.
You can find all of those things rurally and they will be "real", but America doesn't have a strong tradition of artisanal bread making or cheese making so it won't be good. It'll be real, but real shit

I live in a place that has a European style bakery, but the amount of fresh breads they produce per day is probably less than 30, maybe two dozen.

Why? Because a baguette costs fucking $12.

For context, you can buy one at Jimmy John's for 50 cents. It's not great, of course, but it goes to show the price of a baguette should be $2 or less.

I can go to the store 2 minutes from my house and get brined feta or a tube of goat cheese right this second and thats at the supermarket

Everyone in this thread posting about baking your own bread are kind of missing the point.
Sure you CAN do that, and maybe with some more effort you could make your own cheese. Maybe if you're really dedicated you could buy your own cow and raise it to adulthood and butcher it yourself!
That's not really the point though, is it?
I'm not saying Null is right, but come on.
Get a wife and she'll bake bread for you, ez

All y'all actually trying to debate about this ARE SHEEP! YOU ARE SHEEP! You don't even see the subversion happening right before your eyes! The real reason Null started this argument and then the tread isn't to show how great Europe is with their cheese! It's to get you all to forget that he cannot pronounce "Renaissance" AND "Roblox"!

What are we arguing about right now? Cheese!

What are we not even talking about right now? How Null is a mush mouthed mother fucker who turns to the Bri*ish to learn proper pronunciation and STILL can't get it right!

You can either continue to stare at the shadows on the cave walls or you can join me in the light.

What has made dear feeder feel like a worthless piece of shit today so he must sperg about muh local artisanal organic faggot food to feel better about his life in a second world slav shithole? Is this his coming out? He can't get fresh dick in murica like he can in europe?

If the meat comes from the same 4 companies; WTF are muslims in the USA eating?
Funny you'd mention that, I remember a Muslim lad in the office in the UK recently commenting on how after a trip to India he's realised we're actually better about having truly halal meat than India itself. The reason being is that the food standards are higher so the percentage of places lying about the food being halal is lower here than there.

He found it funny, I suspect more devout sorts might be more than a bit irked if that was mentioned.

Fun thread, going to start listening to the Kitchen Cabinet Null? I know you love all things British and they have at least one regular American guest who's a pleasant sort, especially with his cheese fondness.
