Well then I guess you're gonna have to put your expensive cross-country vacation plans on hold for now. AmeriKKKan society is so barbaric for forcing you to make such sacrifices.
I'm not planning on any vacations in the near future.

I used to work in fine dining as a baker with snooty ass catering where if your whipped rosette was just a little bit off, you got yelled at. (it's almost my 1 yr anniversary of my escape) our management used to try to humiliate us by holding up a cheese or whatever and tell us that it's worth more than our labor lmao. anywayz, I've learned so much more about cheese ITT so thank you kiwiz.

A lot of the downright revolting-looking stuff actually is delicious, if not some of the best stuff.
i've noticed some americans are a bit squeamish about raw meat
like, pic related is raw pork on bread, really good stuff

but explaining this to americans makes them look at me as if i was talking about cannibalism or necrophilia

Sounds like a good way to get a tapeworm ngl

I love raw fish tho

but overall i agree with the sentiment of everything though as annoyingly smug as it is written. all the gmo produce and chemically injected food is cheap by design and already ingrained into our system as a tool to keep the masses content which is why it is controlled so heavily by the government. it is extremely unhealthy, lowers your lifespan but it's cheap enough that as long as you can afford it you are able to get by and won't feel any motivation to make it yourself. as bad as that food is it's the only thing keeping a lot of the population fed which is why nothing will change.
That’s the thing though, food in America, especially fresh food, is very expensive compared to Europe / UK. Even though it’s GMO, chemical laden, stuffed full of surplus dairy products and corn syrup, people are paying easily double or triple for equivalent items.
I can see how people fall into the trap of eating fast food all the time - that would be an expensive,, unsatisfying and frowned upon route in the EU but here it is the default option and likely cheaper than cooking for yourself.

Jersh, on MATI you said "major city".

There's a bit of an in between in regards to a 1000 person town and what would be considered a major city. Does 170,000 people count as a major city?

Cannibal sandwiches are an iconic cultural artifact of the Wisconsin, but thats the exception to the rule

If not cheaper, it takes less time, which many people don't have much of.

ever lived on a coast but from what people I know say, they can get fish straight off the boat at any number of restaurants.

As someone from the coast, this is absolutely true.
In fact one of my favorite seafood restaurants is this shack on the beach that has a sign that says “We don’t serve breakfast because we’re busy catching lunch.” And they really do catch their own fish. Absolutely outstanding stuff.

Daily reminder that the only truly fresh, non goyslop bread is that which you make and knead yourself, forged from dozens of experiment and never once touching a filthy breadhook or bread machine.
That the jews fear the man who keeps his own yeast cultures, and puts them in cute little jars with cute little names.

That when the learned elders of zion make their move, and inflict upon the world the foulest and most sinister of challah based kabbalistic sorcery, it'll be up to myself and a few others practiced in the niche field of glut-o-mancy to stop them with nothing but a dutch oven and seals of Solomon drawn with flour and protein starter.

Also I bought the weird farmers market cheese and I've been vomiting out the head of a needle all afternoon. Cannot recommend American cheese in any way, shape, or form at this point.

Yes, Tatare is great too and a good example. Honestly there's a lot of stuff I'm too tired to look up the names of, but people in America also overestimate how much stuff they get/have from the rest of the world since the USA is relatively cosmopolitan. I always pick up candy when I'm abroad because there's always something amazing and unique there too. It's not hard to get in America, but I even enjoy vegemite/marmite.

I also prefer European food (prepared things) because it's less loaded with sugar and HFCS. You can taste the difference and when you get used to it it really is better. Stuff in America is too sweet.

I had a question about this too. That’s why I stated the population of my city, and showed that you’re basically seeing nothing but farm for a lot.

For starters, I think in the US you’re not legally a city unless you have 10k people in it. So at 1k or less you might not even have a post office.

Yeah, I’m in California, but I still think forcing it to the most rural of rural areas is an extreme stretch to try and say food choice is limited to the “majority of Americans.” I also doubt a town with just 1k people will have a Walmart. They tend to build in larger areas. Hell, I don’t even have a Walmart. I’ve never lived in a city with a Walmart in it. My hometown, which had a 1 million population does not have a Walmart
