Well, I've seen clips and screenshots where Ethan Ralph laments about how frustrating and absolutely assmad he is due to being ballgagged and likely also because Vicky has the little blue tick Ethan said is worth half a million to him. Quite pathetic in comparison but we're comparing cow shit to pig shit.

How does this help the case from his perspective? I seriously don't see how people can't just shut the fuck up if nothing good can come from saying anything. All I take away from this is Vickers admitting that, from his perspective, Ralph isn't totally responsible for missing court and filling in forms like a retard. If I had an active proceeding against Ralph I certainly wouldn't post online about it, and definitely wouldn't give Ralph an opportunity/inspiration to claim he had bad representation and absolve himself of responsibility.

Perused the Nevada County Case Search today and apparently my timing is impeccable.

Faith has just filed for contempt of the custody agreement. This means she has filed claiming she can prove he has violated the custody agreement and thus could nullify it. It would mean visitation would be out the window and those drug tests / anger management classes were for nothing.

Looks like after these filings, the mediation is still on. Should be a fun meeting.

This means Ralph is now dealing with three separate legal situations regarding the Vickers family. I'm sure more will come. Granger will either drop him of get rich by the end of this.

I don't think Ralph actually cares about custody except to the extent it silences people claiming he abandoned his son.

If he loses visitation rights he has a simple excuse to deploy without even having to bother going all the way out to California to keep up appearances.

A "heads I win, tails you lose" scenario for Ralph. The only way he loses is if the support payments are revisited, but that would appear to require a member of the Vickers family to secure multiple legal Ws in a row.... I'm pressing X on that turn of events occurring.

They generally address those issues separately. It won't look good for him if the court sees a bunch of pictures of him traveling around the world drunk off his ass while claiming poverty.

I think they'll say he can afford to take a few less holidays and pay some more. And if it keeps adding up, it eventually hits felony non-support level and he'll either have to live as a fugitive or get extradited. And actually in California, it's a mere $2,500 in missed payments, although they usually wait until it gets a lot bigger because it's not worth the effort of forcing the deadbeat felon to pay up $2,500, then have to do the same again in a couple months.

They wait until it gets up often into the six figures and then put you behind bars where you get to figure out how to get that money together or else just rot there.

A lot of time and legal expenses being spent by the Vickers when, given what his income realistically is, the difference between the child support that was agreed to and the child support that would be ordered by a judge is a couple hundred bucks a month tops.

Ralph allowing significant arrears to accumulate is about the only way he could seriously fuck this situation up, but I assume the alleged violation is much more stupid than that.

Contempt is a bit tricky. It can impact more than one side of the law. It can be treated criminally while at the same time be addressed in family or civil courts. For instance if someone signs an agreement in civil court as part of an arrangement or ruling, like if someone agrees to turn over certain property from one business to another or financial compensation. If the deal was part of a recognized court order ruling and a part later breaks that agreement, then its considered contempt and the civil court can impose sanctions. The criminal court then also has the ability to pursue it due to it being a crime. Usually, unless the person violating has a giant stack of them or is doing so in suck a wildly egregious manner, the criminal court lets it go as a nothing berger.

That said, if a loud, shit sniffing felon were to have someone motivated to just keep filing contempt charges against them week after week for the foreseeable next few years and stack that shit, yes, the court may do something.

Is the contempt thing today for failure to appear where he presented proof that he asked for a Zoom appearance or is this something else? Unless he no showed the one earlier in December too?
