It just occurred to me, Democrats are all Simps.
Supporters are putting donations into political candidates promising social reform. The executive and legislative platform consists of:
- Open Borders, an attempt at reverse colonization.
- Globalization, an attempt to send jobs overseas in exchange for cheap manufactured goods.
- Medicare for All, an attempt to overwhelm the health system so that people receive less care.
- New Green Deal, an attempt to eliminate the economy in favor of cooler temperatures.
- Equity and Inclusion, an attempt to expel all existing cultural norms in the name of diversity.
- Disarmament, an attempt to remove the threat of military force from international dealings.
- Gun and Speech Control, an attempt to greatly reduce the rights articulated in the Constitution.
In each case, voters are being asked to give something up in exchange for a net negative. They're putting communities, professions, healthcare, the economy, culture, defense and Constitution at risk in pursuit of an ideal that likely cannot be brought into the world. The scope and breadth of what people are being asked to give up is extraordinary.
Hadn't realized how accurately Simp describes the relationship between the policy and the platform. It's remarkable.
