Democrats won the argument. They just couldn’t translate that into votes. - The real reason Donald Trump won

Polling showed slight leads for Harris and gaining momentum up to election day, but voter suppression efforts hurt turnout

What voter suppression? You'll have to show some kind of evidence of this.
Voter turn out shows a shift against the democratic party this election cycle. While Trump maintained his votes from 2020, Kamala lost 15m voters. And that meme of her not making improvements anywhere is proof there was no voter suppression. Polling isn't an exact science and it constantly underestimates and misinterprets independent turn out. Independents decide elections, simple as. Trump gained ground everywhere, Kamala lost ground everywhere. This was a slaughter and clear mandate from the American people, they aren't buying what the Dems are selling.
Kamala’s message greatly appealed to oppressed women who never voted before. But these women didn’t know how to vote because nobody ever taught them.

This is America, not Afghanistan, women aren't oppressed. It's the same as appealing to trannies, all 15 of them. I also enjoy the fact that this comment is an underhand dig at dem supporters; they are too stupid to figure out how to vote.
Voting is easy, Dems didn't get votes because no one wanted to vote.

Dem policies are popular: Abortion and social welfare measures in various states generally did well

These measures were voted down as much as they were voted up. Abortion isn't this great watershed policy that will win Dems everything. Most people, women included, don't see abortion as an important fundamental right. Most people see it used as a Tiffany's birth control, racking up abortions after weekend trips. While this isn't the total reality, it's the perception for a lot of people. Welfare queens posting their abortion tributes on Instagram isn't helping change this.
I agree the republican party needs to take a more modern stand against abortion, it could very easily turn into a winning policy for them if they took steps to protect doctors and medically necessary abortions, while also reviewing cases and maybe putting abortions into a case by case basis. Ie Texas doctors can perform abortions, but if Shaniqua goes in for a 2nd abortion in a year it gets her case sent to an abortion board, and when she goes for the third, maybe they deny her. If you heard stories of people looking for their 4th abortion across state lines, you'll correctly assume this person is using abortion as their only form of birth control, which is just wasteful and rightfully kind of evil.
Outside of abortions, dems have no great policy that is better or even much different than the Republicans. Republicans are still the party of small government and do what you want; dems are still large government, authoritism, and more personal restrictions and this is echoed in their, policies and behavior.
Kamala and Tim Walz won their debates and got celebrity endorsements, but too many Americans tuned out
Kamala won her debate as much as she survived. Trump usually frustrates opponents into making mistakes, I don't think Kamala is smart enough to realize she was being attacked most of the time. But she did no damage to Trump. Walz was eviscerated by Vance, even on the one strong point of abortion, Vance looked much better than Walz in this situation.
Vance looked downright presidential in his debate, while Walz looked like an angry old man.

Here is my take on the situation.

-No matter how you gussy her up Kamala comes off as a ho. The pictures of her tramping around with Montell as a side piece are what people see and think of her.
-She has no policy or ideas of her own. She can't own up that she is Bidenomics 2.0 but won't give Biden his flowers and defend her policy as a continuation. It makes her seem dishonest.

-Her cackling, her constant race/ethnicity lying, her demeanor, etc... it's all extremely off-putting. She is basically Clinton 2.0 but instead of a sociopath/psychopath, she is a whore with a napoleon complex. Even if Kamala had good policy and could defend it intelligently, she is extremely off-putting.

-Besides all of the above which is about her personally, her Policy is garbage and extremely inflationary. Something needs to change and everyone knows it, Trump is a change, Kamala is not.

I know this isn't an abortion thread, but it is a "who won the argument" so I'll keep this germane.
Polling shows something like 10% of Americans want abortion bans.
Here is a poll from statista regarding whether Americans consider themselves to be pro-life. Gallup generally agrees with these results.

It looks like support for abortion has grown since the repeal of Rowe, but it isn't showing anything close to a 90:10 split.

SUFFAH out-of-touch political party!

The response to the Democratic campaign has been utterly conclusive and without flaw nor doubt nor ambiguity -- people are sick of your shit. And according to AP + Reuters, trans rights and the olympic games 2024 were top on the list of concerns people had right behind the cost of living. Interesting how you dodge those topics entirely when it was a CHIEF CONCERN on voters' minds.

but that doesn’t mean their platform is unpopular.
It literally means they are not popular by verbatim definition and demonstrable example...the example being the 2024 election.

Trump will need to reach across the aisle and offer abortion rights, minimum wage increases, and higher corporate taxes if he doesn’t want a civil war on his hands in 2025
Disagree. Women, in record numbers, went in and voted for Trump knowing he wasn't promising abortion "rights". Higher corporate taxes won't happen because lemmings can't program in Python and Rust anymore without CoPilot doing 85% of the work for them so they need Tech Corps to continue their course of obscene corpulence, the push back would be severe. Minimum wage increases plummeted California's economy, led to over 10,000 people being laid off, drove up automated workers and sent the out-of-state exodus into overdrive.

Dem policies are popular: Abortion and social welfare measures in various states generally did well
Again, women turned out in record numbers FOR Trump. "Social welfare measures" can mean almost anything, you need to be less nebulous if you intend to make a point. An just to sound like a broken record: you're dodging the two issues that voters objectively cared about the most according to exit polls: Troons and the cost of living. I am thoroughly enjoying this working example of the same out-of-touch awareness that the Democratic party puts into practice.

Kamala and Tim Walz won their debates
These just high-tier debate bro panels. That's all. Everyone going in already knew who they were voting for. No different than a [Breadtuber] v [Counter Culture] debate panel.

Polling showed slight leads for Harris and gaining momentum up to election day, but voter suppression efforts hurt turnout.
Projections also showed Harris having some 300-odd points for the electoral college. It's 2024 and you, a Kiwi Farms user, still listen to Journos?

Evidence: Lower overall vote total from 2020. Democrats did not turn out enough to beat Trump and it cost them, but that doesn’t mean their platform is unpopular. Trump will need to reach across the aisle and offer abortion rights, minimum wage increases, and higher corporate taxes if he doesn’t want a civil war on his hands in 2025. Just my honest opinion reading between the results here.
Bruh. Trump won because there is hyperinflation almost here and people's monthly grocery costs for their family went from 120$ to 600$ over four years. How Trump does with inflation and the economy will decide who goes for his successor in 2028.

3. To a degree, and is why abortion is a losing argument for the right. Call it "muh baby-killing" all you want, it doesn't stop the fact that nobody besides Christcucks worships a clump of cells, and said clumps of cells that get aborted are disproportionately black clumps of cells who grow up to burn, loot, murder, and vote Democrat.
To put it politely: abortion reduces crime and poverty. It really does stop the black population from going nuts. It might sound cruel, but it spared us from approximately 400K niglets last year alone. Anyone who would consider aborting a healthy child shouldn't be allowed to breed in the first place tbh.

I'm always curious to know the thinking on this; how far into a healthy pregnancy should a woman be able to get an non-medically necessary abortion? Seems there is never a clear answer from supporters. If a woman changes her mind at 37 weeks should she be able to abort? Let's assume it's exceedingly rare, maybe only dozens of times per year (on par with the frequency of infanticide), should it be legal that late into the pregnancy though?

OP is bait, but the thread title is also unironically what democrats believe. surprisingly, thinking and acting like you have the sole license on Correct Opinions because you believe you "won" an infinitely ongoing cultural slapfight does not inspire people to join and advocate for your team.

Harris, like most women in any kind of power or leadership role, was mouthy, condescending and constantly spoke authoritatively about things she had no clue about and said things that made no sense.

She was a passive aggressive narcissist with zero charisma

Their "argument" is:
  1. endless gibs
  2. endless unvetted immigration from third world countries
  3. being soft on crime and decriminalizing everything
  4. whitey bad
  5. there's no biological difference between men and women and lesbians must accept the ladycock
  6. trooning out kids
  7. men bad
  8. we should be able to kill unborn babies at any stage and even after birth
  9. fantasy gender LARP bullshit
  10. endless foreign wars
  11. let's give the druggies free drugs and "clean needles" and allow them to shit up the street
  12. police bad, law and order bad
Yeah, they totally won it!
