Polling showed slight leads for Harris and gaining momentum up to election day, but voter suppression efforts hurt turnout
What voter suppression? You'll have to show some kind of evidence of this.
Voter turn out shows a shift against the democratic party this election cycle. While Trump maintained his votes from 2020, Kamala lost 15m voters. And that meme of her not making improvements anywhere is proof there was no voter suppression. Polling isn't an exact science and it constantly underestimates and misinterprets independent turn out. Independents decide elections, simple as. Trump gained ground everywhere, Kamala lost ground everywhere. This was a slaughter and clear mandate from the American people, they aren't buying what the Dems are selling.
Kamala’s message greatly appealed to oppressed women who never voted before. But these women didn’t know how to vote because nobody ever taught them.
This is America, not Afghanistan, women aren't oppressed. It's the same as appealing to trannies, all 15 of them. I also enjoy the fact that this comment is an underhand dig at dem supporters; they are too stupid to figure out how to vote.
Voting is easy, Dems didn't get votes because no one wanted to vote.
Dem policies are popular: Abortion and social welfare measures in various states generally did well
These measures were voted down as much as they were voted up. Abortion isn't this great watershed policy that will win Dems everything. Most people, women included, don't see abortion as an important fundamental right. Most people see it used as a Tiffany's birth control, racking up abortions after weekend trips. While this isn't the total reality, it's the perception for a lot of people. Welfare queens posting their abortion tributes on Instagram isn't helping change this.
I agree the republican party needs to take a more modern stand against abortion, it could very easily turn into a winning policy for them if they took steps to protect doctors and medically necessary abortions, while also reviewing cases and maybe putting abortions into a case by case basis. Ie Texas doctors can perform abortions, but if Shaniqua goes in for a 2nd abortion in a year it gets her case sent to an abortion board, and when she goes for the third, maybe they deny her. If you heard stories of people looking for their 4th abortion across state lines, you'll correctly assume this person is using abortion as their only form of birth control, which is just wasteful and rightfully kind of evil.
Outside of abortions, dems have no great policy that is better or even much different than the Republicans. Republicans are still the party of small government and do what you want; dems are still large government, authoritism, and more personal restrictions and this is echoed in their, policies and behavior.
Kamala won her debate as much as she survived. Trump usually frustrates opponents into making mistakes, I don't think Kamala is smart enough to realize she was being attacked most of the time. But she did no damage to Trump. Walz was eviscerated by Vance, even on the one strong point of abortion, Vance looked much better than Walz in this situation.Kamala and Tim Walz won their debates and got celebrity endorsements, but too many Americans tuned out
Vance looked downright presidential in his debate, while Walz looked like an angry old man.
