I think it's more accurate to say that is his fetish. He gets off on annoying people, but he spreads his legs for and allows himself to be filled by power. The easiest way to ensure that you remain the eternal enlightened centrist is to align your center with the ruling elite, which is the de facto center of the Overton Window. Since the elites don't really have any ideology and operate only on power, this waterfalls down to Dev. He is as empty as the suits he worships. It's why he's so smug, how can he ever be wrong if he's always aligned with the guy with the biggest stick?

Late. But I want to answer this.

I don't know about Dev's community either, but I fit the profile of the kind of person he complains about. ie. A former dev watcher that could tolerate disagreements, but walked away as he fell more and more into TDS. I'd be described as right wing simply because I'm not playing into his dumb centrism-at-any-cost game.

To use your analogy. The room is a lefty, a rightoid, and 8 people in the middle. Dev says something obviously false or stupid that is also a lefty take. 9 people say "that's wrong and stupid". Dev will scream that everyone is a right-wing idiot with TDSDS.

He's nothing more then what was defined by Josef Stalin as the "useful idiot". Maybe the cunts - called "elites" - will someday have enough of useless eaters like him and just put a bullet through his brain that is more than he deserves. The difference is that the useful idiot back then at least had the brains to see that they were wrong before being shot by the firing squad. I'm not exactly enthused by either Trump or Kamala's economic plans, as both have issues. Has Dev mentioned how Kamala's housing stuff will be a disaster yet? That's easily more an issue for me than temporary issues with prices rising to help domestic production.

As for the Tim Walz thing, what the fuck does that context do to change the quote? The first amendment literally protects both those things. In the case of specifically lying about the voting process, that's less "misinformation" and more election interference, which is why it would be considered illegal. Tim Walz is a censorious faggot regardless of the context.
